I’m very sad to say that due to some OOC behind the scenes, the Meridian Edict was disbanded. We have split into two new guilds, with myself now starting a spiritual successor named the Jackdaws. If you were interested in the Edict, please consider checking us out!
The Jackdaws are a neutral adventure guild, composed of a found-family of sorts - outcasts who gather together and strive to make the world a better place, a place they wish that they had been in in their times of need. We travel between zones, setting up camps where we need, and seek out places to explore and people to help. We act more as a group of companions, than a formal guild, and so there is no true hierrarchy, every member chooses the path forward, and can even make their own individual choices if they are convicted enough to go forward with it. Our members are what makes us, and so we not only explore guild storylines - but also explore each of our members’ histories, problems, and lives, letting each and every person have limelight and development.
What hobby isn’t better when enjoyed with friends? The Jackdaws’ bonds are not just important IC, but OOC too, with a healthy and active community of friends. You’ll find someone chattering about something at all hours, and everyone is always eager to help out if you need a hand in anything! We have regular game nights, especially on birthdays, with Jackbox or Phasmophobia. We also vote weekly on movie nights, with a list for people to suggest movies for everyone to vote on - and if the vote is a draw, we must watch Cats 2019. Again . Our community is an inclusive and welcoming space - we don’t welcome, however, jerks. So it goes without saying that behaviour like racism, transphobia, or any other kinds of intolerant behaviour will not be - ironically - tolerated, and grounds for instant removal. Which is the bare minimum of how behaviour like that should be treated.
