I’m in the same boat, my warlock is stuck there with “world server is down” can’t log onto him
Great, both of my goto zones are down.
So this have been an issue all day today. From morning till evening.
Blizz could at least acknowledge the problem

until now and the issue with outland still exists!
Just keep login in. It will allow you to log on 3rd-10th try 
and TP OUT.
Happening again now - Hoptallus Realm next to the Dark Portal.

Yep, happening again on Mirage Raceway. “World server is down” while leveling in Hellfire Peninsula.

Is there an alternate zone for Level 60?
Que random dungeons for XP, working just fine.

Okay, that sucks. I think I’m going to stop then. I’ve come back to WoW after many years away and really enjoyed getting to level 60. Just got my flying mount. Went into Outland and BOOM. Game sucks.

What is happening really? My monk is stuck on Outland now and i cant even log in to the game because i keep getting “world server is down” when the game should load. This problem is not new, the same thing happened some weeks ago when players randomly got disconnected in the vanilla content areas through multiple days, then the whole problem migrated into the outland areas for days again, then the same procedure with Northrend as well. The game is literally unplayable in certain time periods when its happening. And blizz seems does not even care or does not want to investigate the problem, because they dont say anything…

On my alt it is unreal I disconnected when I was about 0.5ms of completing an escort they made it to the area and started the dialogue. Keep logging into retry the escort and it’s been about 13 attempts but I get disconnected every time and it appears more frequent. Ruining the game for sure, I just wanna play

Same here, my monk just had a DC fest, I got stuck on a loop above the Abyssal shelf because of it, never ending flight with constant DCs. I tried unstuck and it was just putting me on the shelf among the elites I had to jump off the cliff to get out and get a resurrection sickness because I was barely able to move. It’s unplayable, and unbelievable that they were unable to fix it under 2 forking months…

Same error here. Just dinged 60 and started Outland and now I get disconnected all the time.

yep world server is down …
For me it is the same. Made a new blood elf paladin and it started already in the start zone of blood elf. I had to change to another zone that was easy. But now I can not just change the zone as the whole tbc zones will disconnect. The only way to lvl now is by doing dungeons.
There is not a single word of a blizzard employee yet. I’m devastated. This is not a small issue in my eyes.
Sadly this has been an issue since August and it seems all devs are just busy with the new retail patch coming and feels like classic servers are not a priority as we also have not seen any info from blizzard about this and players are left in the dark.
I’d suggest you just spam dungeons till you get to Northrend
