Discrimination ,US pays 180USD and EU pays 300euros! The war within Collectors

Didn’t a large number of collectors boxes get damaged once? I remember people posting photos, perhaps they’ve chosen a different more expensive shipping company to resolve this issue.

Yep it only takes just one thread to start the word of the day contest

That did happen. Mine was damaged so they sent me a brand new one. Ended up with 2 boxes full of goodies.
I’m not sure if they changed something in shipping in the meanwhile. DF:CE was shipped with some spanish shipper that mostly shipped clothing.

Everyone pay taxes but laws regarding taxes are different in EU and USA.

In EU law mandate any product must be advertised with its VAT included wich means that 300 Euros in EU is the price including taxes.

Meanwhile, in USA, it is not mandatory to offerd prices with taxes and most stores announce their prices without taxes and once the customer is about to pay they find the real price. Wich means CE in USA isn’t 180 Euros. It is 180 Euros plus VAT.

Exactly, I wonder if they’ve selected the “Extra Insured, must be with double mailmen duty” delivery teams option or something for it to be premium fees this time instead of the fiasco previous time.

And exchange rates are not fixed and fluctuate based on the global markets and banks.

That’s not an issue of Blizzard but the banking system. If that annoys you, go complain at their support centers (where they will kindly tell you to go away).

Then change your market selection and buy from a key seller or similar from a different country for cheaper prices?

I have friends on Xbox that regularly change their regional console settings to access the specific countries market and buy products cheaper than they would cost in theirs.

Well, the USD and EUR is of almost equal value right now, so unless you’re prepared to argue that the US pays 65% in sales tax (hint: They don’t) we’re clearly getting the much worse deal.

Quite frankly it’s a bit of a rip-off.

That statue does look nice though. But yea it’s a rip-off.

Ah yes, I remember that now! Last time it came in a plastic bag, like it was clothes, and they nearly all got destroyed.

And shipping was still very expensive.

They be meme’n.

I just got HOMM3 The Board Game and it’s also €300 incidentally. The shipping was €35, and it’s a 12KG behemoth. It was very securely packaged and there isn’t a scratch on it, which is a very good thing because the minis and cards are absolutely gorgeous.

Because of reasons like these, publishers but also storefronts tend to streamline the product sale prices more often to a higher average rather than choose to price it locally, matching the economical purchase power of the region or country as is the case with Steam sigh.
