The amount of times I’ve seen people be absolutely horrendous on there and when called out use “bUt OlD bArReNs ChaT” as some kind of excuse has been quite high.
I think that is a WoW playerbase issue overall, because the average wow playerbase can be quite toxic when it comes to interactions.

Sadly I think it’s too late, it’s an ingrained behaviour now and near 2 decades of people hand waving it has resigned the areas to containment zones.

Exactly my thought too. Its a thing that could probably have worked if done earlier, and is a fairly simple and good solution in my opinion.
But one that wouldn’t work as well now/if at all.
So are we though so there must be something else to it

I do think there is a level of delusion in adopting such a strong us vs them rhetoric regarding OOCers, because realistically it’s a problem Blizzard will never get to solving and there’s very little we can do about it either - even though I personally don’t see it as a huge problem.
I thought that players in RP server would be nice(r). Just got the Greedy Emissary event ruined by some tents that made it impossible to target the goblin. Sad and disappointing.

Generally people are nice. but we suffer a lot of griefers who find it amusing to “troll” people with toys or mounts (incidentally I do believe this is why some toys have long cooldowns and why story important npcs have a auto dismount zone around them)
it doesn’t help that wow has a lot of toxic players by default, and inevitably some of them play on argent dawn.

As far as I know, tents can´t be placed in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, which means you were on Dragon Isles, which are sharded with other servers.
Also, one person can place 3 tents, so it´s entirely possible you were trolled by a single player, possibly not from AD, and likely not an RPer (who are the players frequenting this forum and are a minority on this server).

Also the OOC vs. IC players is just an excuse for some people to be toxic. It is basically a non-problem at this point

Yes, it happened on Dragon Isles and the whole place was littered with tents. I did not see any players from other servers so assumed it was instanced for AD, but the possibility exists that it was players from other realms then.
Man people should just relax. Why care about erpers, weve literally had people trying to ger rid of em for years, theyre not going anywhere. Focus on something fruitfull like…o dunno,having fun…

Look sure,if you find some one actively looking for minors to rp with, feggin napalm him and put him on a pike but aside from thatc its always been what ifs.
