Classes change through expansions and I didnt play much of BFA at all really so I’m not sure which i’d prefer or enjoy more. That’s before considering max level play is different to low level , and any unlocked traits etc at max or factors that change the gameplay to the point they feel “core” (if that makes sense)

Also, warlocks are so bad that there’s 3 of them in a lot of world first Mythic raid kills.
I must say that both are pretty garbo for all content outside of raiding. If you plan to do anything else than raiding, you might consider another choice.

DK is probably your best bet. In the current burst meta, the rampup time of warlocks damage can be really difficult to pull off in most situations. That’s not to say warlock is bad.
However, if we’re talking from a longevity standpoint. Warlock has always been more of a valued class as a whole in PvP and PvE.
I have a warlock alt and I’m barely playing her anymore. This class is just slow. Super low mobility. Long casting times and / or ramp up on everything. I can’t do it anymore.
Maybe you don’t mind but you should be aware of that.
