Here’s a hungarian variation of bean soup, Jókai style to be exact. It has some cream and sausages added for extra taste. I pray there will be some to consume when I get back home in 2 days!

Good old Jókai Bean Soup…
This slowly cooked soup with smoked meat, beans, vegetables and noodles with a big nice slice of bread and a few spoonfull of cream on it is a satisfying soup for cold days

There is just never enough of it 
If there’s one thing I dearly missed here in Finland, it’s dishes like this. They may be cool people with good job and education opportunities and sensible ways of living, but in this one aspect, if not more, they could learn from us

Speaking of our nice food, bone marrow (iconic dish is mainly made of bone marrow and brain matter but could include kidney marrow and spinal marrow as well – Hungarians know no boundaries in the culinary arts) on a toast (with salt and pepper) is another nice and tasty dish of ours
