Do player realise that the battle net app now adds a spyware service to your start up?

Is this to do with the Windows popup I’ve been getting recently (always when I’m in a key and usually during a boss fight) saying Battlenet is asking permission for something?

If it popped up when I have time to actually read it and make a decision, I might agree to it. As it is, I just keep clicking ‘no’ to get it off my screen.

Yes, that is what is doing. If you install the update then stop the service from running, it will nag you again.

If blizzard is collecting all your hardware details and how much you are playing other games. Imagine how much 'Nvidia would pay for that.

No one is saying what exactly is being collected, or how it is being used. Are your conversations being tracked see where your preferences lie? You have no idea what is happening with your personal habits.

Google Cambridge Analytica to get a feel for how far down the rabbit hole some companies will go.

Steam already tracks how much you play games on there.

Unless they’re collecting the login details to my online banking, I don’t really care.

i been wondering what this new thingy is…
i keep pressing no on it first it said.

----log level—4 something

now it said Battlenet SVC installer components.

I’m not 100% sure if my PC is either virus infected or if this is actually a part of Blizzard.

I don’t think that the company asks beforehand do they want people to have this working on the background on their workspace.

Some Informations about this:

After checking the Logfiles (see ChapmanUS’s Post), my Client never asked for that permissions nor got them.
Someone mentioned it could have something to do with CoD/D3, i never had an Account for either of those nor installed them. I run WoW/HS exclusively in BattleNet.
