Do You Have Other Hobbies Besides WoW?

It’s amazing to move at the speed of trees. Relaxed and completly stress free.
You can buy a starter tree, they usualy come in a packet containing some soil, a book and some tools. Try to make it survive a year or so and join a bonsai club to learn from the old geezers. If your lucky you might get both experience and a couple of trees from there.
Remember: Bonsai happens when your at the pub. Not while you overkill them with love.

When I’m not watching Minecraft YouTubers with my daughter, I also like to read, watch movies / TV shows and write. I have one (very average, unpublished) novel under my belt and am slowly building up a head of steam to begin my second.

Is being a mom considered a hobby? :joy: dont have much free time between fulltime job and taking care of my kids, so wow/gaming/netflix is mostly what i use my spare time on.

Roleplaying, reading about Mythology, lots of art, music, books(Anita Blake series is a favorite to the book Obsidian Butterfly then it gets kinda… eh.), going camping during the colder months especially, going out with friends(especially for food).

I like him a lot - he was really good in Source Code and Brokeback Mountain.
We have tickets to see him in Sunday in the Park with George in London but it was delayed by Covid and now he’s got filming commitments so goodness knows if it’ll ever happen now.

As for me, WoW is my main hobby but I also make cross-stitch pictures, go to the theatre (generally for musicals) and read. I suppose holidays are a sort of hobby, abroad when possible; I’m missing France, Belgium and the Netherlands a lot.

Not the bees! :scream:

Only boring stuff here.
18+, ride the cruiser 3 months a year…anything gym related, games, movies and get baked.

And when I eat pizza, Indian or thai, I get really gassy so sometimes I ride the elevator just to release the demons.
I’m not perfect

Just other games. When I’m not raidlogging or farming gold, it’s rimworld, gta 5, skyrim and cities skylines.

Bad Lifestyle choices?

No, wait, that’s not a hobby…

Got really back into Tabletop RPG’s during Lockdown, in particular ‘Aliens’ and ‘Mutant Chronicles’, and this was the proper, proper lockdown, so it was gaming groups doing it over zoom or discord. Was really good fun, in the Aliens game, I knew all the other players, but in the MC one, I only knew the GM, but now have 3 new buddies, who I have since met IRL (as we all share another hobby) and get on just as well as we did over the zoom games.

LARP…My Catnip…Finally, with the somewhat relaxation in the UK, LARP fest events can run, if careful. Went to the first big one, bank holiday weekend at the end of August. Seeing so many friends I have not seen in almost two years, all two hundred of us in our ridiculous Celtic clothing with weapons, sitting around a firepit, singing, drinking (Though no sharing tankards or drinking from bottles passed around!) Our Warriors going off to fight, our Druids howling imprecations at our enemies, and our Bards upkeeping the Law and telling the stories.
It was magical. Reminded me why I still love that crazy hobby.

Writing. Been keeping busy writing a lot, even if just short stories, stuff that I never intend to seriously send anywhere or try to get published, for my own entertainment and a few friends.

I was doing my actual -Day- job (Which I still regard as a Hobby because it is fun!) and doing some Voice Acting work. Alas and Alack, I was unlucky, and caught Covid early on, and it has left my voice a bit ruined, some days I can still perform, some days it’s a croak, and that’s almost a year after catching it! ‘Long Covid’ ain’t a myth kids, it can proper wreck your stuff!

Have far too many DVD’s to watch, have far too many books to read.

Alcohol? Wait, no, that’s not a Hobby either…

Kids can be the deathknell or added dimension to hobbies. When mine were younger yeah hobbies were like “what hobby” but now my daughter is a bit older we go cycling together and she always likes to join in when I bake and stuff. She’s also really big on helping with my herb garden and has learnt a lot about plants as a result which her school has noticed in her science lessons.

My son is a bit more reserved and younger, likes the outdoors less but loves gaming. He takes an active interest on the seldom occasions I’ve done some light WoW around him. When I have he always says “Daddy go to the place with the lots of big fighting and kill all the bad guys” (he means Torghast) and he gets super excited when I down the boss and is all “you did it you did it that was so big!” It’s so cute I can’t handle it. He thinks that my character is a “robot” is really cool and Fists of Fury and Whirling Dragon Punch are the coolest things I can do.

I used to be a keen cyclist. I did this back in the day over the course of a summer when I used to do contract work.

(2500 mile trip mostly offroad cycling trip from Canada to Mexico).

I’ve also cycled the Pacific Coast of the US and done the lands end to John’O Groats thing in the UK. Now I’m a fat lockdown victim!

The pacific coast must have been great! Alongside doing a “highway road trip” hitting all the roadside diners to find hidden gems, that is a route I’d love to do someday as well in America.

At least they are not forming a felowship and wander off to some adventure…
