A mixed bag imo, Drustvar and Nazmir were toptier zones, Zuldazar and Tiragarde Sound were mid and Vol’Dun and Stormsong Valley were fine.
The maw is my fave sl zone its got certain features that are similar to hellfire penninsula, the mobs all look like guards as well wich is a nice touch. I paticularily enjoyed the intro quest where we got re aqquainted with the boss from legion i forget her name but it was nice to see she
Got what she deserved after all the bad she’d done.
Even better was that she’d been screwed over by sylvanas and was now under her as opposed to the other way round.
Story wise sl was good dp was its art but the content creators needed shooting.
Sl could have been an amazing expansion it was just implemented wrong add to that forced grinding in torghast and it quickly flopped maybe in classic wow when it comes round theyll make some changes to fix it but we will have to wait and see.
It’s unfortunately a zone that triggers migraines for me. Shadowmoon Valley during WoD had a similar but less pronounced effect. It did surprise me, Blasted Lands and Hellfire Peninsula were horrible as a trigger but I figured it was the glaring colour palette. Apparently too ‘dusky’ and purplish is too. Bummer because I enjoy them aesthetically.
The zones were the only good thing about that weird expansion.
