I can make alot of people fly in pvp on my kulthiran prot war.
Hell yeah, it’s dope as heck. I hope they give Dracthyr this ability permanently.

there was huge engagement about this when Dracthyr racial ability was announced and shown here on the forums. I was one of the ones who argued. If Worgen could have a running wild racial mount, Dracthyr should have the same. Make it work as a basic flying mount if anything.
Theeeen came everybody who didn’t want to play dracthyr. And who also had the loudest opinions about them. Things where said such as ‘‘They don’t have big enough wings’’ And… and… Huh. Funny… that was literally the only arguement, besides the Demon hunters who felt left out if that where too happend.
But Blizzard listens. Yaaaay… 
I was more on the side of Soar replacing dragonflying mounts while being on the Isles. It’s their expansion, they should have a special connection to the Isles and shouldn’t have to rely on a mount there. Put in a couple of tickets over the course of the beta, but Blizzard disagreed with me 
In the end it was ruled out as unfair to the other players. Even with our Dragon isles only. And basic flying in old content and classic worlds arguements.
I don’t think we will get a true answer to this until after the Dragonflight expansion.
Blizzard will have to take a stance. Or at least say something about the future of flying in WoW in general after Dragonriding. How will future flying be? Are we going to return to the old static base flying from before? Or will they ‘‘re-invent’’ it for all the mounts everybody has collected over the years.
In the end. I can’t imagine anyone would be happy with Silence on this.
Using last months trading post ( bugged ) mount I see…great fun though

If i where to use my divination magic and predict the future xD…
I can see future flying in wow adapt dragon riding to all our classic mounts. But we would have way less vigor charges to swirl and boost forward. And the mechanic that makes us descend without momentum will be removed.
It will be basic flying without the descent without momentum mechanic. With much less vigor points to soar trough the skies with. Is what I see.
Either that or they return to basic static flying… don’t say a word. And our forums and everyone and their grandma will be outraged here on the forums. Except the guys who hate dragon riding and wanted base flying all along.
Currently. Dragon riding works in that way, that without speed and momentum with vigor. You slow down and fall to the ground. That mechanic will be removed if they take this into the future. Is what im trying to say.

Dragonriding should just work in the old world, and so should the Drac’thyr version. Easy.
Flying should be renamed “hovering” and as many things should be moved out of it as possible. That is, if it flies using wings, it uses flying (currently called dragonriding) - otherwise hovering.
Hey, now give this ability to DHs as well and the airspace would look kinda neat. Then we just wait for the Val’kyr to become a playable faction. Then we got Dragons, Demons and Angels filling the skies of Azeroth. Probably some weird goblin/gnome mecha “wings” as well. Probably very neat
