Wait, iconic, unique? Her old outfit was literally just pre-Legion Sylvanas recolour minus the shoulderpads and with a unique hairdo. Ysera also shares that same body.
You are free to feel it wasnât an iconic look.
She still has her red hairâŚ
Just put her in a burqa already.
Is it the red hair that has got the belt all out of sorts
Big feet, Big⌠socks
They can take the belt off her tbhâŚ
(And everything elseâŚ)
Rawwr!!
Tbh if they removed the sleeves, gloves, bit between the breastplate and belt it would look more like her previous outfit but more battle ready.
But Blizz are on this puritan kick of covering up females in game, itâs a fantasy game, we expect some flesh.
That other big MMO everyone likes to mention allows both males and females to dress skimpy and the same goes for the NPCs. Not everyone is watching about in a gravity defying top but there is enough variation.
Thereâs never a happy medium, its either make them look like theyâre trying to protect their bodies with bits of wet newspaper or give them so much armour if they tried to move 5 steps they would die of exhaustion.
They have gone a little too far. The fact is ladies have different size breasts, as someone on the larger side I think itâs wrong to shrink them all down. The key here is to vary it between characters.
Oh and a boob slider should be in the game as long as it didnt get ridiculous.
I do think it sends a bad message on the whole.
Women are better than fruit.
Women are not something that has to be covered up, we are allowed to have flesh on show.
We do not need every character in the game being given the puritanical treatment.
I think having options is the key, but options are inherently more work.
Well it does send out the wrong message like some magazines do. You donât look as acceptable if your breasts are larger than we show.
They should be very careful here.
Everything in ok at adequate time and place.
To be covered for certain occasions is expected from everyone, and not just from women. I mean good luck being allowed to enter courthouse in shorts and flip-flops regardless of gender.
Npcâs are in some sense representatives of Blizz, so its not strange that they are covering them in more âformalâ look.
Itâs a fantasy game not a courthouse.
Whilst updates to NPCs are expected from time to time, I personally donât appreciate the cover up mentality theyâve taken in recent years.
But we can agree to differ
Everyone has their own views.
Well, they faced heavy criticism for over-sexualized models I am not surprised by outcome.
That being said, players are free to dress their characters in a revealing way.
Yeah, I donât really think the shift in character design priorities has anything to do with them being puritan, or trying to cover women up, but rather new designers having different ideas of what looks cool to them, and designing along those lines.
Itâs not like more recent designs are devoid of skin either. Alexstraszaâs design still keeps a thigh gap and cleavage, her outfit just isnât glorified metal bikini anymore. You have characters like Valeera, Thalyssra who just have no pants. And have you seen Tyrandeâs shoulders/back? Hnnng.
They are still designing for appeal, but they seem to be trying to be more creative about it.
That is, if you talk about NPCs. Player character armour feels like itâs just getting bulkier and bulkier. 3D elements on armour are cool, but the plates and everything just feels too big and thick for my taste. Itâs certainly a change from stickers for armour, but it needs work imo.
You are free to feel that way. I just see a company covering everyone up.
Itâs like we are going back in time instead of forward.
Thank God! They didnât make my girl Alexstrasza a fruit and she still looks a little like a fruit but at least this fruit was selected.
