Sad but true. Its actually amazing how they managed kill everything good in this game and whatever good that people still enjoy they sure find way to ruin that too.

you guys understand that m$ barely ever does hands on management right they generally buy the company and then let it hit the iceberg on it’s own when they really should have intervened :stuck_out_tongue: heck fable is a good example of what happens when a studio has to much freedom and not enough brain cells

I think you give Microsoft too much credit.

YES, if they took out legacy content it would kill the game for a start for myself and my hubby. The problem I find with other players is their assumption that ALL players are in the same situation as them, raiders, challenge hounds, customizers, collectors, all of us. We are all guilty at some level of this line of thinking. However we are not.

Myself and my Hubby, we have a child with complicated, extreme needs. Grouping for us with anybody else is out. Could you just imagine holding up a raid party while your son has his many myriad needs taken care of, or even very simply climbed on Daddy’s knee and demanded to see the “fire doggie” for the twentieth time in a game session.

So we don’t we limit our play to us two, as we understand, we are patient, we share the same goal.

How Blizzard deal with legacy content allows us to see, experience and gain some measure of reward from ALL the game. Our subscription isn’t cheaper, so I very much appreciate Blizzard being considerate enough to have such a legacy system. We may have to wait, and some rewards as they need to be achieved currently will inevitably pass us by. Yet, you know what?, I am happy with that as I know that other players have different needs, and those should be met too.

I don’t think Microsoft will do better. They might monetize the game(s) even more. Have in mind, back in the day, when you bought the office package, you had the package. Now you have to subscribe to have it each year. A just as greedy company

Completely off topic, but don’t subscriptions services for such products, completely get on your thunga’s

Adobe photoshop is a huge bugbear of mine as the subscription cost is ridiculous, I would prefer they charge me several hundred pounds for it, but then it’s MINE, than this new trend to monthly and yearly costs that limit access as soon as you aren’t paying.

Subscription games, that I get, but for a program…it’s so irritating.
I suppose it is because of my creative side that this rankles so much…

anyways, /rant off

apologies for the disruption in service…cough please continue…

Remember back in TBC when this player predicted Blizzard would keep pumping out non-sense expansion?

Many of us knew what Blizzard was doing back then. I wish the old forums were around with me calling out people for claiming Blizzard would never do X.

Sadly, there were too many Blizzard drones defending everything Blizzard during Vanilla, TBC, Wrath etc and all of the selfish decisions they kept making at the behest of a few people working at Blizzard.

Be careful what you wish for

I beg to differ - im still using Office Professional 2007, dont cost me a penny and it still works for what i need it for

Copium much?

Or they don’t understand how this works it’s blizzard who made the last 10 expansion not activision and it’s blizzard who’ll make the next 10 not Microsoft. Maybe they’ll replace a few management positions but that’s about it

I would agree .ninja theory bleeding edge game also got the same fate

I too am cautiously optimistic about DF. It looks like it has more of what made WoW of old good and less of what made modern WoW a hollow chore, but ofc only time will tell.

If I have to pick one thing to complain about it’s the dragon flying thing, customizing your mount looks cool, but the mechanic itself sounds like it might become incredibly frustrating and annoying in the long run.

Ah yes, I’m sure they’ll get right on it for you!

The main character syndrome some people on these forums have is sickening, honestly.

I share this concern. Hopefully it will mostly be a side activity with achievements and toys for doing sommersaults or winning races (which I can ignore). I hope that for just day to day questing it will be reasonably straight forward mode of transport. I don’t want quests to land on pillars of rock or to dodge tornados or to swoop through rock formations, unleass they are WQs that can be ignored.

Microsoft, competent? Their new dev teams these days are a bunch of clown zoomers with big new IDEAS that are bad.

Not like the windows 7 days and prior, no no no.

Blizzard just need to recruit new developers based on skill and not inclusivity.

Because you are using an old version. New versions aren’t like that. Or they will ask you to log in, when ever you open word. But this is getting off topic

did that hexus in the old days turns out all the skilled devs are sex offenders and belong behind bars
