Druid/Shaman Question

Stop trying to be the protagonist and bow to your human overlords

Light bless you

Can’t speak much for Tauren (we only respect Night Elves around here), but if solar magic wasn’t real or w/e, wouldn’t that also imply the Night Elves don’t draw power from Sun for sun spells etcetera, and it’s instead Light then…

Night Elf Druid = Priest confirmed???

Furthermore, the Silver Hand thing is kinda gross with how it forced everyone to be Light users like with the Night Elf Paladins. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tauren there just dropped An’she for the Light. King’s honour after all etc.

Can you stop complaining? This Warcraft story is NOT about you. It’s about the human faction and THEIR struggles of saving this world almost ALL by themselves. Be a good side character and crawl back into your burnt tree.

Okay I’m sorry, I’m done.

Go with honor, friend.

Can’t even crawl back into the burnt tree because of the invisible wall blocking my way :sob:

Oh, you’re right sorry. King’s Honor friend!

Anyways I couldn’t find the stuff about the Tauren Sunwalkers actually drawing from the Light and thinking it came from the Sun. Closests I can come is to Anduin’s condescending thinking 'bout how the Night Elves think they’re actually channeling Elune’s power when its obvious for his Highness they just use the Light like everyone else.

Yea, I especially loved how she stated that the training she received from the Priestess of the Moon; who are trained in almost all weapons, are known to wear all kinds of armors, and learn so many other things, felt incomplete compared to the training of the Silver Hand.

sigh allwell

We don’t even really need the peace thingy to fight Anduin IC

Seers and Sunwalkers do indeed use the Light.

And as for the Solar and Lunar debate, that is just nature magic truly drawn from the sun and the moon. Moon Priests + Seers are just thinking they are also drawing from these sources as well, but… nope. I think it has to do with that there is a religious mindset with the Priests and Seers, whereas druids merely think of nature and balance so it manifests in nature magic.

Hence I said Light entity, and through doing so, their spells also look different.

Also questionable twitter post, considering Elune has so many facets and nuances related to Light, Shadow (that also visually looks different to void?) and Arcane. He just straight up dumps them all into one pot.

He also doesn’t seem quite set with I think.

Well, it’s Loreology so it is official.

But as they have expanded upon with Elune, she might be a Titan construct. Perhaps she is some sort of experimental mixture of Light, and Void, and Arcane. We don’t know, but that tweet is what we got. It’s canon.

Things can contradict it, but I’d prefer to go with what Blizzard say until something in-game really changes the lore.

So if it’s just the Light and Loreology’s tweet from 2014 is law, why does Elune directly speak to her followers on several occasions? If it is simply Light magic (with the big Light pot in chronicles as the source), why is Elune’s power depleted after the NW ritual:

With Tyrande donning the mantle of the Night Warrior, much of Elune’s power is taxed. Asking for another favor is not insignificant, but I must try.

I think you’re simplifying this whole thing a bit too much via an outdated tweet.

As I said, it might be a titan construct. This could answer why Elune is depleted, maybe she needs to ‘‘charge’’ up again. And one of the powers of this construct is Light then.

Then why do you add this bit, completely negating any previous evidence. So you agree, but not really? It’s quite confusing.

Thanks Blizzard for trying to boil every cool mystery element of WoW into some weird category that makes everything homogeneous.

Earthmother next please, I really want you to explain her away for me.

She is the Titan Azeroth. Baine said as much.

The ancient mystery of her is solved. :’(

Blizzard, thank you <3

I hate how Blizzard feels the need to explain everything.
Titans, Old Gods, Elune, An’she, the Earthmother even the damn Naaru and Demon Hunters were all way more interesting when they were surrounded by mystery.

Now they ruin everything by wanting to explain everything D:<

It’s a blessing and a curse, in my opinion. It clears things up and we can get a better understanding and therefore expand upon things, and be more creative.

On the other hand, it is boring both IC and OOC. Suddenly the Earth Mother hasn’t torn out her eyes, and she is just a sleeping arcane being? It gets worse when someone feels the need to explain this IC as well because they are all-knowing.
