To me, unplayable means literally cant win. While there are frost dks that can win.
However, that do not mean they are not bad, just not typically as good as everything else.
So if you have been a frost dk main for a long time, you can make it work. But its harder than alot of other specs.
And, for alot of ppl, why bother playing a less good spec than obviously the alot stronger one?
Blood dks are apparently also quite strong lul.
Frost dk in its core can easily become broken with just a few tweaks on numbers or something being changed. I would hope, and guess, that it gets some kind of rework for next season or next expansion. But dont hold much hope.
that was my point its the hardest spec to play by far.
i feel people forget Frost DK exist.
- i try to voice the state of Frost DK quite often in hopes people take the time to investigate themselves
you need only go to Venruki stream/youtube each thumbnail is " Frost DK " in F tier
and if a WoW streamer like him isnt enough proof , play it yourself, like i have over the years.

you will see more Tanks than a Frost DK in pvp. i guarantee you that.
They don’t, but you can’t be serious if you think, the skill cap of a frost dk is very high, no matter of how good or bad the spec is.
id rather the spec be complex than down bad terrible,
- imagine an easy rotation but feeling like you are using a Foam sword and wearing paper armour while walking through mud

Lol, no it’s not. It just has a crappy one trick design which is impractical and weak. Oh look, we gripped, blinded, did some damage and then ran behind the pillar until our CD’s came back and then did it again, such difficulty.
To simplify, a spec that has 3 buttons is clearly an extremely easy spec to play, but its viability for being successful is a different question.
Anyway, for OP, the easiest specs to play for your intents and purposes are:
- Havoc DH
- Fury Warrior
- BM Hunter

A spec that is bad designed and limited, doesn’t make it hard or skillful to play. And FDK doesn’t have that much options which would make it complex to play it good.
Be that as it may, the discussion leads nowhere. I have merely shared my opinion of which melee specs I think are the easiest and hardest.
my intentions when i said " hardest to play" i assumed by play the op meant to push rating on.
so in that logic it would be the hardest to play to push rating… as you dont get rating playing a frost dk
if the question was about rotation and not caring for rated pvp… sure its easy

Nothing about playing the Frost DK spec is hard. It’s one of the most simple specs in the game, but it’s bad, which is why I then address the OP in saying:
Feels more like a jab than a genuine take, assa representation is low for a reason in rated brackets across-the-board, especially compared to the other two spec’s which offer either more fail safes for playing bad or simply having better kill potential

- Ret
- Hunter
DH, arms, ret, demo, BM, MM, assassination are all very easy and very strong.

Simply because most rogues either play broken outlaw or one shot sub!
But I quoted a bit off topic your part about the easiest specs, not the most overtuned. And personally I think Assa rogue is one of the easy one, maybe even the easiest one!
My RBG leader had to make our new rogue switch class, because his overall performance was so bad that he alone cost us several games. He is playing DH now and performs decently. I think no matter how bad you are, you can have at least some success on DH.

He just doesn’t like the spec and doesn’t understand how it works beyond the 1k8 limit of dotting 2 targets. It is funny considering he himself is playing WW I believe, which, at the moment, is actually rather easy (at least according to at least a few Monk players with relevant rating).
You will not make him change his mind because he does not want to.
