Except when they do, the Forum’s full of REEEEEEE! threads, complaining about ‘lazy’ Devs rehashing existing content and outrage over the travel time, away from current zones.
Lets face it, the most fun in Wetlands, was the ‘Death Run’…and you only did it once, per Nelf character.
The only good thing about the Barrens was when Crossroads was a regular focus for wPVP, back in the day. I always reckoned Mankrik looked shifty, maybe there is a reason he isn’t wearing his shirt…
i think you’ve drastically misinterpreted my posts.
i didn’t at any point express that i thought blizzard should constantly give us reasons to visit them.
i stated the zones were empty and i asked people what they thought this represents.
an acknowledgement that the zones are empty and dying out, is not a condemnation by any stretch. it’s a recognition of some truth.
that as new areas are introduced, old ones become less relevant.
this is not a commentary of any kind, mainly an observation.
an observation which you appear to have some issue with?
I don’t know if blizzard could or should make these zones more lively somehow, but surely that is what a discussion forum is for? to discuss?
i personally think shadowlands was the perfect opportunity to use the whole of azeroth, since shadowlands is a separate dimension, and could be overlaid over azeroth.
imagine discovering portals or somesuch things through azeroth, perhaps the scale could be different, in so far as shadowlands is smaller than reality somewhat like the nether world in minecraft. that would also open up additional travel improvements for the world.
there was so much they could have done but were lazy… but that’s just an idea that just came to mind.
so, you’re not here to talk about wanting blizzard to do something about it or any of that.
You’re here to state the obvious that an old zone of an old expansion is empty at 5AM on a god knows what shard?
Then discuss what exactly. Yes, it’s empty? Yes it’s sad? It’s fine?
Because when you’re posting something like this, there’s only one direction it’s going. And that’s talking about potential plans to involve players in these older zones and if that’s not your intention, then your post has no point to discuss.
sometimes when we talk, we are talking because we like to talk.
is it allowed?
some people like to talk about things sometimes. it’s not about problem solving. it’s not a call for action. it’s just talking. if you don’t see any point to it, you are more than welcome to bid us good day and go about your business.
Was always kinda unimpressed with that aspect of CRZ.
It could take all players from any server and really populate some zones, it would be great fun to bump into all the other people chillin in the zone. I’m aware some farming could be harder with this but there has been a lot of improvements to facilitate many players tapping same nodes/mobs for example.
It’s not bad in some cases but yeah it could be better.
Also I’m on the worst realm for CRZ stuff as RP realms do not really do that but I do some experimenting with stuff in the past and I find that “new player” servers are a lot more busier in random areas of the world.
What I loved about legion is that it felt like The Legion is attacking Azeroth, not just Broken Isles, there were invasions at prepatch, we needed to go to old zones to recover artifact, some of the class halls were at Pleaguelands or Dalaran and so on…
I really enjoy seeing old zones, and I kinda hate the feeling that they are so empty while I level… Tho BFA zones are really filled with people leveling which makes it more enjoyable.
i did think on this last night. why are there not any characters at least moving through this region? a lot happened in arathi during bfa and it seems to me there has been no continuation of events. even if the player is mostly in the shadowlands, why can’t any of these events somehow link back to these recent events of significance?
i mean, a lot of people surely died in those areas so you’d think that at some point the kyrian at least would want to be going there…
