How did they do that?
Vanilla, means you play the same exact game from back in the days, with patches releases like before. So, bugs? Well , you have to wait for the X patch. Balance? Wait for the Y patch? Nerf to X or Y boss, dungeon? Wait for the XX patch. That is Vanilla.
…we are not playing that. We play with the last patch from the X-Pac in terms of class balance, dungeons, etc.
If you want to play a exact version, you go and make your own private server or search for one.
But anyway, if you are asking yourself “What are we playing then?” , I strongly believe that this isn’t what you signed up for and maybe … that was Retail? I mean, how do you not know?

Classic WoW had as many bots as todays servers - I was there - I am wise in the ways of WoW
Blizz have always added features to the game - impossible to imagine they wouldn’t tinker with it - but as it is now it is basically the same game as it was with a little QoL
However -nobody is making you play it and Blizz take no notice of the Whinge Fest EU Forum
