Basically this, she has a point up there.

The current systems are fine, all your alt has to do (if no professions) is doing the endgame and you can do the open world grind on one toon.

It’s enough if your alts only clear the world for gear or money as is.

i love wow, for a years it’s a best place for me, but it wouldn’t be wise to ignore things from other games which makes qol muuuch better. change soulbound to account-bound - one of them, another one - shared bank

i dont think you understand what QoL means if you think throwing character progression out the window on all your alts constitutes as “quality of life”

And you are the foremost expert on that subject?
Sorry if I don’t take your word for it.

5072 post defending Blizzard, and attacking everyone’s view, must be a hell of an achievement of keeping forums on fire, hope the payment is worth it, or you are an instigator by nature and this job just fits you…

What is your issue?
Why are you acting this way?
Why are you dragging made-up nonsense into this?

Just because I don’t agree with you? You can’t handle that?

I don’t really care if you agree with me, but you seem to disagree with everyone who opposes the official narrative. If you stop trolling me I’ll drop the subject.

Now where are you getting that nonsense?

Also, I would really like to know what ‘the official narrative’ is in this thread.
Because it’s ‘just you making unrealistic demands’. :person_shrugging:

I can’t see the “unrealistic” part of it

And that’s part of the problem, I guess. That you don’t even realize it.

Look; an mmorpg demands a certain amount of time investment. It comes with the genre. Wanting to play alts comes with even more time investment. That also comes with the territory. Having alts is a luxury. Luxuries are to be earned; Nobody is entitled to them.

I love your patronizing style, but now let me share with you a secret, nobody has the time for such nonsense. The game supposes to be fun and if alts are part of this fun the game must fully support them unless there is a master plan to drop off every subscriber, then I fully understand the effort.
I can tell you why they won’t do it, but all the reasons suck.

There’s 2 things wrong with that bit.

  1. It’s factually wrong.
  2. Plenty of people don’t consider it ‘nonsense’.

Another bit with ‘problems’.

The game is already ‘alt friendly’. It does not need to be ‘alt gimme-everything’.
If you can’t be bothered gearing alts; then don’t. You shouldn’t be getting it ‘for free’.
That’s my opinion and it’s obviously not yours; that’s fine. We can agree to disagree.

But to expect Blizzard to give in to your demands is delusional. Sorry, but it truly is.

And saying ‘to drop off every subscriber’ is just complete and utter nonsense.
There’s loads of people who never bother with alts. And there’s loads of people who are fine with gearing an alt. YOU are not; and that’s fine. But don’t pretend as if everyone is.

The exceptionalism in your posts is stunning. That’s how I know they are signing your paychecks.
And no, not plenty, it isn’t a supporting statement, you don’t even know how many. Most likely many people don’t have time to lvl and gear up alts because of the game’s current state, that’s simply not giving them an option, and pacifying with the status quo doesn’t mean agreement with it.

They did something like that in Shadowlands
where you could buy Account bound loot boxes to send to your alts purchasable with valor
i don’t remember exactly how it worked because i never used it, i felt it was a terrible implementation of something useful since gear was random and valor goes to waste.

the point is they tried to do something like this before, they just need to put in a little bit more effort and do it right.

The thing is, they won’t do it because it means remodeling the entire game economy based on the process of gearing up slowly and painfully, as the gear is the only real reward in this game, not mounts or pets or whatever, gear is the only reward people care about because there are no alternatives, as the gear is the only way to progress through the content. Basically, the lack of content is walled behind the gear-up fever.

Not just the economy
also their raid lockouts system, they pretty much need to redesign the entire game around it.

Imagine you main this Demon hunter
you could level up 5 other Demon hunter and Raid on all of 5 them funneling gear to your main.

You pretty much eliminated the idea of a Raid weekly lockout (more or less).
Now don’t get me wrong, i’m all for Account bound system, i do enjoy playing multiple characters. but perhaps this is something they can toggle on and off (like an account bound currency and a vendor that shows up in the middle of the season with the sole purpose of gearing up alts) - just an idea.

This is a possibility, but the raid lock out’s may not need changing, funneling gear to the main means nothing. Even if I play 5 demon hunters, what’s the matter? If I don’t have time for gearing up alt’s, how do you think I will run 5 same class characters? What for? And also if I do funnel gear so what, I will have 1 good geared char which will give me more pleasure to play, can’t see the downside of it. BTW there are even now people who have 3 or 4 of the same class characters, for totally different reasons but still.

You’ll actually have 5 really good geared chars at the same time, since the gear is transferrable in this scenario.
so it is possible that in 1 raid lockout, to gear up every slot for 5 chars.

While it might mean nothing for me and you, or in fact could even makes us happy
it surely means something for Blizzard Entertainment  because 18 years later Raid lockouts are still there.
and if i’m to borrow their corporate mindset for a second, the reason is clear. to put roadblocks thus forcing you to consume their content very slowly and keeping you subbed lol.
