I still think 5 man premades are overkill in a 10 man BG, All you need to do is have a priest a tank and 3 dps and you’ve already probably won the game, bearing in mind priests seem to be able to take on 10 men on their own these days. 5 geared and comms, generally game over.
Well, with the current system, you are queueing for 5 minutes, then wasting the next 15 minutes in a BG that is impossible to win cos of cowardly players who don’t want a fight. I’d take an extra 10 minutes for a decent game with actual proper gamers.
What makes you think that every single 5-man premade is on comms? Our guild certainly doesn’t do that. We communicate via chat just like every other random player in the BG.
Normalising the gap between gear would be a massive help, cos a 5 man that is fully geared really is capable of winning most 10 mans on their own, and a lot of that will be down to how well geared they are… bring things back to some kind of even playing field then it’s not so much of an issue.
It doesn’t seem to be implied at all, I’m merely stating that all you need to do is get the 5 players, geared and comms… that does not imply ALL whatsoever
Be careful what you wish for. The system we had in Legion wasn’t as great as many would suggest it was. I certainly don’t want a return to that state. I think the gearing system we have in DF is probably the best it’s ever been. No higher item levels in PvP because you have a higher rating than the average Joe.
I have to wish for something because the current state of things is pathetic, it’s a million miles away from being the fun that it used to be. The vast majority of games these days are so one sided that the game is completely pointless.
The voice chat is the least of the issues in all fairness, it’s a perfectly acceptable tool cos typing mid game does get a bit costly, myself and a pala got well and truly destroyed off 2 rogues at the shrine cos we were too busy typing in /s. Was kinda funny though.
I touched WoW PvP in TBC
even in TBC the systems of twink and full gear group premade existed
it always existed since the dawn of time
The only difference is nowadays it’s so easy to make friends in a MMO
Blizzard added a vocal channel in game so everyone when facing someone in vocal in front can adapt versus them
So you want to ban people who have a lot of friend ?
If someone have 14 friends they can’t play instanced pvp ?
More people in queue = faster queues pop
incoming battleground blitz
That will become ranked in 11.0
I love these arguments not practically based in reality.
When was the last time you had a team of randoms going vocal ?
Enough said.
Yes. Its not allowed. Limit is 5 people, from Classic to now.
You guys are just cheating and bypassing the restriction.
You all should be punished. Little exploiters.
If i manage to get 40 people in a 20 man PvE raid would my argument “but i have 39 friends” hold ? No.
Stop it. Its not intended design.
If you’re so brave go Rated Battlegrounds. This is the exact place for endgame addons, macros, max gear, strats and grouped instance pvp content as you put it earlier.
But judging by your rating in RBGs you dont even have 10 friends.
Overdosing on furry corn much? what are you saying ?
Theres already rated bgs. dumb argument.
Its not any different if you premade Bgs, you silly guy. You just havent realized it yet.
The majority of BGs contain 10% battleground enjoyers and 90% udergeared, uninformed, newcommers with no addons no macros and keybinds or simply new to their class + the above.
But you cant structure an unbiased argument.
/clap
The absolute number of players matters. To have a better chance against a small group playing together, you just have to gather a handful of reliable friends.
To challenge a premade raid, you have to gather 20 people, also bend the rules, get them all on voice and also sync your queues so that it is somewhat equal. That’s not realistic for most players.
Premade small groups are generally not a problem and can be overcome with some moderate effort. They are also allowed by the rules of Blizzard. To queue as 5 man premade has never been restricted, nor should it be. People like to play with their friends in a casual environment.
Premade raids on the other hand are bending the rules and should be driven out from the regular bg queue.
My preferred solution would be the following:
Give large premade communities their extra bracket, call it “Epic Battleground - arranged team” or something like this.
In this bracket, there would be no rating. Premade raid leaders could freely gather up to 35 people, invite them all into one big raid (no queue syncing bs required) and queue up together to play one of 5 random epic bg maps (Ashran is a 35 map, hence max 35. The other bgs would also be played with 35 instead of 40, like you can play rated Arathi or EotS with 10 instead of 15, southshore would be included)
To incentivize participation, the developers could introduce unique titles and exclusive mounts and cosmetics that can only be obtained by winning a few rounds in Epic - AT.
Honor and Conquest could be double or triple that of Epic bgs. If you undertake such an effort in organizing, it should pay off.
They should make sure that premade raids only fight premade raids in their proper bracket. Otherwise, many of them would just ignore the new bracket where they actually belong and stick to random epic bgs, where unorganized teams are no match for them.
To achieve this, all forms of queue syncing that enables premade raids currently should be made impossible.
introduce an invite dodging penalty. Premade raids only accept invites when they know they could all get into the same rounds. Make it so that if you decline, you would have to wait 5 minutes. If you then decline the next invite, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and so on.
Keep groups of up to 5 together and assign groups and solo players randomly to team alliance or horde to ensure that premade raiders don’t get into the same team even when they manage to get into the same round.
Shadowland at a korak vengeance once i knew we were facing premade and alliance was low win rate
I did that once
But it show it is possible
I’m sorry grandma ! The ice cream was tasty !
In Epic it’s 40 vs 40 so design is according to plan so far
so i have to let go my 4 other friends ? Like a “hey a content fit for all of us an unranked so it does not matter, but 9 of you must go because a guys that is jealous of other people getting friend posted we should not play together in a MMORPG unranked content !”
You right
I have more
I never been into furry thing
But i don’t have anything with corn !

They are not in 10.2
they are like a brawl
and will become rated in 11.0
A computer when you will ask to say 1 2 3 4 5 the computer will answer 1 2 3 4 5
Each human have different answer and different reaction
PvE reaction is always the same and always predictable
Saying that due a group of people group together versus multiple people that can have different answer in PvP is the same than PvE is wrong
It’s not because solo queuer are dispersed individual group you can’t group up inside the game. I did it once not impossible to do it again.
Just ask to have the lead and write “/rw Alright guys here the strat XXXX” “/rw join up in game vocal we are facing premade”
It’s just that it’s so easy to complain and babycry on forum nowadays compared to lead a group to win that people come here to cry “i am lazy to do it and i am suffering consequence, plizz blizz make my life so i can press 1 button and win !”
Yea so what ?
they have the right to queue up Epic battleground
We all started somewhere
you not gonna force people to be at X rating to join a UNRANKED PvP instance right ?
I don’t have issue versus premade when i queue up solo You do and refuse to admit you prefer complain than improving
Oh yeah we gonna give every little exploiter their own safe space.
Guys , please visit reality. This is not impliable and only comes with even more headaches and future complains.`
Stop giving these soyboy solutions, just stop it, not every thread in the forum has to go 10 milion pages long with philosophical strawpicking, semantics and etc this is not the Joe Rogan show.
Theres already a bracket for grouped strategized high end PvP, its quite rewarding, gives tons of honor and even conquest → its called Rated Battlegrounds.
As for Normal battlegrounds grouping over 5 people is already illegal the only issue is the rule is not enforced for some reason.
And I would even offer that a reworked AV, and a reworked version of Ashran and Isle can be added to the Rated Battlegrounds.
And if that happens you will all see that these people dont even realize themselves that they choose to play Random Battlegrounds as premades instead of Rated battlegrounds because of cawardness.
These are identical to the highschoolers joining games with middleschoolers thinking they rock instead of joining a proffesional tournament or training.
We as a community have to push these people out of their own comfort zone for the same of both sides.
These premade highschoolers are just too comfortable playing agaisnt middle-schoolers.
Thats all.
Plain.
And.
Simple.
Why do you keep pushing your idiotic idealism when we speak about something entirely different?
Nobody said its not possible to win, all we said was its exploitative, its against the rules and it takes more than it gives + the fact that it is simply not fair.
Its like putting a bunch of highschoolers against middleschoolers.
Its a pretty good example now that I think about it.
High schoolers are usually nothing exceptional but compared to the middle schoolers who are barely finding out about the game rules and its basics, ill- equiped both mentally and physically.
You get the drift.
Yes, no. Check the analogy above.^
Also you’re not honoring the design.
The design says 5 premade is the limit not 40.
If you make a house party and i bring the whole city and you tell me “sorry but allowing 400k people in my 50 people house will completely disrupt and annahilate every item I possess and probably even the walls and the ceiling. I cant let you in” should I feel like a victim or should I feel like I was stupid inviting the whole city withe me in the first place ?
You dont. You got the communication skills of a todler.
They.Are. Already. Rated.Battlegrounds.In.WoW.
You can have as many different reactions as you want but if these reactions objectively are not based in reality then they mean very little to the rationalle and only contribute to the chaos. And the decline in people willing to participate in it and in Random BGs proves my point.
Stop already you’re just embarassing yourself.
Read Sonic Fanfics and dissapear for a while.
Holy frick, thank you for finally agreeing with me.
If theres something that is the polar oposite of a just “starting somewhere” player that is a premade farming each bg hes joining.
Premades belong to Rated PvP, the “starting somewhere” players belong in casual pvp like Random Battlegrounds and Epic Random Battlegrounds.
Clear? Good.
I never refused to admit anything.
But luckily I dont have to.
I got every PvP achievement from casual PvP. Every.Single.One.
Every single reward, title, toy, pet, mount too.
I got a problem with people like you who argue to defend something clearly harmful/toxic.
Lets say it together:
People who premade EBGs are mostly lazy cawards who cannot come up with the bravery, effort, skill to que Rated BGs. Its a fact, most premades are mediocre, they only work so well because the oposite team is bellow average for the most part.
These who premade EBGs O B J E C T I V E L Y (according to the rules of the fricking game) break the rule of the 5 man premade limit via exploitative mechanics.
So even though we do, we dont even have to go to the extra arguments against Premades, they’re simply and already illegal.
and last but not least- > stop spaming your nonsense. Drink your furry sleep potion and travel to the Shadowlands to BLUtter.
What they currently do with their queue syncing could be called exploiting, but when there is an actual bracket where they could do organized large team battles against opponent teams that are equally organized “legally”, it wouldn’t be exploiting anymore.
It would be an equal playing field where premade raid players belong, but the mode they want to play isn’t currently being served, so they resort to queue syncing in epic bgs that are meant for groups of up to 5 and crush their unorganized opponents easily.
And some premade raid players play premade raid bgs for this exact reason, no doubt. But when my ideas to prevent queue syncing would be enacted, they would have to face equal teams if they want to play in premade raids.
That’s not for 10+ people. It requires a very specific setup of roles. You can’t go without a tank and without rogues you are also at a disadvantage. What is the highest RBG rating you achieved?
Yes indeed. This is why I also call for measures to make queue syncing impossible or at least harder and more inconvenient.
