Fan Design Tier Sets

All of them look way better. I am not sure about warrior leaning on the whole rage thing but would be a really good mythic recolor.

Colored much better. Like way much better.

Amazing what a difference more colors can make.

Yes, they really have kept the looks and feel of the originals but improved on them.

I don’t understand why Heroic one cannot be white and mythic use class colors. Fan made are better by a mile.

After this answer, I will be kicked out of the forum but … I appreciate the Blizzard tier sets much more. The tier sets of the fans seem like Manga to me, precisely inspired by Saint Seiya. For me they are out of context.

I don’t like either of them. The designs are just not my thing and the fan ones are just photoshopped versions of the original designs. Also; these designs would never look like that in-game because the style of them is just way different than what can be done with WoW’s race models.

DK and monk look really cool.
If only we could have those DK boots in game, sad.

Taking what someone else made and drawing on top of it… is kinda easy… cool ideas for sure but blizzard dev bashing is cringe

It’s quite nice to get differing opinions tbh.

There is no right or wrong in this. Just how you personally feel about the two looks.

I mean, I approve of the artist trying to make them look more like gear for the class, rather than gear from a specific season… but they didn’t have a lot to work with. Several classes just have awkward helms or shoulders, and there’s nothing a recolour can do to fix that.

Personal 2p… as a monk, I just don’t like the monk one. It looks dark and sinister and brooding, where monks are about the energy of life. I think they’ve gone for the translucent dragon head look that some of the Pandaria sets had, but it’s come across more as Yu’lon if she were corrupted by Mogu and had a scraggly beard. Also I like my extremities as they are, don’t turn my paws into claws! :joy_cat:

Do like shaman and paladin sets, those are the highlights to my eyes. The priest set is a little odd… I can see what they’ve gone for with the duality of light and dark, but I think it slants too much towards the latter. The druid set is… kind of growing on me the more I look, although I really do not like the current helmets that drop down over the character’s eyes. Not the artist’s fault, just an example of a class that lost the aesthetic lottery this tier.

What some seem to be damning, I commend. The artist has kept the essense of the sets, improved upon the looks and at the same time made them suit the appropriate classes better.

The monk tier set, is the one I like best (I mean the one from Blizzard). It’s the most appropriate and if you remember Mortal Combat, it looks a lot like the Zero set. :sunglasses:

Not fan of fan designed sets. They look too much like old sets that we already have, while sepulcher sets are of new and unique style.
Change is good, change is refreshing.

Take notes blizzard! These are awesome. Love the priest set.

Love The fan sets. The ones blizzard did make is boring.

I can use ms paint and still design better than the shadowlands ones
