Favourite Lunch?

Oh lord that’s quite the tale, I’m sorry to hear that happened, hope there were no long lasting damages

I think it might be my least eaten cuisine worldwide, simply cause I don’t see many when I eat out(drunk and walking home from a gathering of friend, or dnd)

Love Indian food myself, but rarely get to indulge in it these days, most of the good Indian places are gone from my neck of the woods sadly.

nah it was fine did have to stay in the hospitol for a while to be observed but yeah even the smell of fish makes me feel unwell now i wear a mask when i make it for my family who didnt inherit my condition … lucky them

I don’t have a specific one, I change based on mood and season. Though right now I’d say risotto al Barbera.

that’s good to hear, strange that they would have you make it even with your condition, but selavi.

please do tell what that is, I’m feeling especially ignorant to cuisine rn

a pity. fortunately Milan is packed of them.

how do you know a ethnic resturant is even the real deal many nations are packed full of fake ones and the big brands aren’t quite the real deal as well

My favourite is the same lunch I eat every day…toast!
(sounds boring but I use chonky home made bread with butter and a home made bean spread on top and its blimmin’ lovely).

Villain of choice would be Kael’thas because I think he would slay as a social media influencer and could totally see him all over the internets…

It’s a risotto, nothing special really!
Risotto is a way of cooking rice, basically you prepare some sautéed vegetables and onions first (not much, just enough to give taste), then in the same pan you pour the rice without any water and toast it for a couple of minutes, then you add a bit of wine (I call it “sfumare col vino” but I don’t know an equivalent translation), and THEN you start adding broth little by little (to be prepared before in another stove). You cook it this way for like a quarter of an hour, then when the rice is soft enough and has absorbed all of the broth, you can add some Parmesan and butter, melt and mix everything, then serve.

This is for risotto, then you can try many variations. Risotto al barbera is basically the same thing, but cooked in a lot more red wine (Barbera wine, which is typical of where I live) and with sausage. The final result should be a savoury red rice with sausage!

Sadly there is no real recipe because I love to cook but I cant really ‘cook’…
(recipe? what recipe?).

My bean spread is just mashed beans (favs are butter beans, black beans or chickpeas), abit of vegan mayo, then whatever extras I fancy like chopped peppers, cucumber, sweetcorn, pickles, onions or grated carrot, etc.
Very filling and tasty!

Sounds like a solid recipe from what I’m hearing, and blimmin yummy one to boot.

you know? i was always astonished about rice around the world. once in vietnam tried to explain how to cook rice in “our” way and the guy i was talkin with looked puzzled as he was hearing about an invasion of aliens.

Crisp sandwiches.

Best flavour crisps are smoky bacon but can live with prawn cocktail, salt ‘n’ vinegar or even ready salted.

I will add crisps into other sandwiches just for the crunch factor but nothing quite beats a good old British crisp sandwich!! :yum:

A caprese sandwich on fresh baked ciabatta, even better during summer when tomatoes are in season.

This is a core childhood memory for every Brit. Tastes of a simpler time.

Personally I go with Frazzles.

I’ve been trying some legume stews lately, though noodle soup or hummus are always ok in my book as well.
