The only times I feel any sort of ability bloat in Survival is in aoe with a lot of Explosive Shot procs off of bombs. To achieve what you set out to do, maybe you can design a talent choice between the talent that resets those ESs, and one that gives an option to proc some aoe-buffed raptor strike/mongoose bite or even something to do with your pet. Naturally, that other option would have a LOT of dmg to make up for, but that’s all about numbers tuning.
In terms of class fantasy, I’d also appreciate if more of my dmg came from my pet of choice/how I wield my spear, instead of spamming explosives.
Looking at Aspect of the Hydra, I feel relieved that MM has an option for 2-target cleave.
I just wish it wasn’t a choice node. Instead it includes both Aspect of the Hydra and Trickshots via Multishots.
Aspect of the Hydra - When Active your Aimed Shot, Rapid Fire … a second target for 40%. Also when Active you’re unable to trigger Trickshots with Multishots.
Basically making it a toggle ability similar to the old Aspect auras.
This way we can atleast be decent on 2-target bosses in M+ aswel.
Right? This is a great point. They could easily add an NPC that just sells alternate versions. They’ve done so many times in the past, and obviously it’s still an ongoing thing with Polymorph and Hex.
