You also add I claimed they were better than other melee… At least as arms I would be way more scared of an unholy dk which will just pve me or my partner to death no matter what I do.
10 seconds uh?
Yes 10 seconds. Cheap on one target, Kidney on the other. 10 seconds together.
Yes, every 2 minutes. But then you won’t have sap for the blind.
Situational
every DH player complains how weak his class is since legion nothing new here
I have played both with Disc/Holy/Rdruid as Surv.
Hunter always won via CC and the synergy has been there since…the beginning of PvP.
This means that if you dont land traps somehow, you do less dmg and you loose of course.
Now lets see what healers you can face as disc+surv:
- disc: he can SW:D (or premonition) to negate the trap. Of course, on higher level the hunter tries to look for such stuff, so it’s a battle of skills
- monk: let’s see, he can portal your trap or get out of your roots. It’s always a gamble to trap a monk because it’s so easy for him to avoid it and faking it has its toll
- paladin: paladins are usually the easiest to trap, since they save freedom for team mates and still it’s not that much usable on a harpooning hunter. Sacrifice is another option but you only get one.
- Shaman: not so hard to trap, he has grounding but you can fake it. If you risk not to fake, you risk of failing the trap. Shaman though has other tools to use, defensives that he can pop and ‘accept’ the trap
- Rdruid, well, not easy to trap because you can’t root. Maybe if you harpoon slow trap and then freeze
Rooting is a big advertisement to the healer to prepare for trap, so as you climb you use harpoon more and more. Harpoon though takes you also away from your target. In addition, plenty of times you need harpoon to actually reach your target.
The problem with disc + surv is that teams just train the disc and kill him, as fury / DK can do especially with Monk craninig. It is THAT simple. In addition, the whole chain is predictable and the other dps has to CC you or priest to negate fear chained.
If you face a mage, you most likely have to harpoon to reach him, so trapping relies on roots or general placement and luck / skill.
In general, fighting casters is troublesome because priest has to run in and CC is easy to come. Surv kick is just 3 seconds…
Of course, MW monks are a category on their own - if you let them free to heal, you wont ever kill anything. If you trap and fear then they will crane and you are most likely dead.
You can keep fear for crane, that is legit, but in general, during crane is so hard to trap since they can’t be rooted / slowed and they move like a spaz.
Surv druid seems probably better, but druid can get gibbed much easier. You dont have the offensive pressure of Disc but when Disc is getting trained he can’t do much anyway.
Which can easily be countered by positioning, and also means that the kill target will only sit a 4 second stun which should leave them plenty of time to stop the next cc on their partner not to mention to use appropriate defensive. But nevermind that. Better to keep up that personal vendetta against that class, right?
You only mentioned 5 healers
claims person that claimed Stun + Mana Rift is avoidable and you just have to jump out of it
maybe just jump out of the trap, Kelduril
Stun + Mana Rift can definitely be juked if you time your jump around a LoS, because Mana Rift needs 2.5 sec to hit. If you have Relentless you can run out of it half the time if the DH doesn’t have Meta on.
Hunter trap’s pretty much instant so you can’t juke it if you’re stunned/rooted already.
And a mana burn is nowhere near as bad as 6 seconds of sap. Also trap has bigger range and doesn’t cost as much fury.
not disagreeing with hunters being broken in 2v2 but demon hunters feel like they’re good if the player is good, also I barely ever get mana burned as mw with relent if I just roll out of it instantly
now it can, but you claimed that in a moment, when it was 2 sec to hit, which was literally impossible to avoid, yet you came up with “no its not, you just jump away, l2p”
so next time, when hunter pets stuns you, dont forget to jump away before you get trapped
Demon Hunters are horrible right now lol.
Most of the PvP talents are pure trash, forcing you into a rigid choice. ST DPS ( don’t link me cleave ) is behind most melees, there’s no burst to make up for it, no offhealing, no reliable slows. Mana Burn was nerfed into oblivion, Mana Break ( which was literally our only spell that can hit over 20K ) was nerfed into oblivion.
We don’t have the self heal of Fury, pressure of DH, or everything of Rogue. Blade Dance dodge is nice but when you get out traded by most classes it’s clearly not enough.
We’re pretty much the worst melee class in arena.
Were you dropped on your head as a kid? I said you can jump behind LoS as you are stunned, landing behind it. Then yes, you can avoid the Rift because by the time the DH gets in LoS again and Mana Rift activates you’ll be able to run away.
With Hunter Trap, which doesn’t take 2.5 sec to activate, that won’t happen.
you know that main point was that you cannot jump while stunned right?
that’s something you kinda are incapable of realizing, so no, if you don’t play relentless now, or whatever you did pre-nerf
you cannot ever avoid stun + mana rift
The idea is to keep track of the cd and jump -as- you are stunned.
Back in the old days it was a common method of fighting warriors that charged you, they would land at your initial location while you were a jump away, wasting their stun.
Do I need to draw it for you?
you’re completely out of touch
Fel Fissure will pin you down as it hits you, so no matter how well you jump or whatever you do, after DH uses Fel Fissure on you, you’ll be in his LoS in every single scenario
because if you were not, he wouldn’t be able to stun you in first place
and there is no travel time, the stun is instant, unlike Stormbolt
so yea, as you’re getting stunned by pet, just jump around pillar, genius, so you’re not in LoS when he tries to trap you
better incap? low cd meta? solitude? reverse? even better dark if u somehow need it how are those pure trash? offhealing ? what do you need slows for when you have best mobility in the whole game? obviously mana burn was nerfed as it was pure faceroll u could drool on ur keyboard and win every game with it
u have leech so ur healer doesnt even need to heal you, blur on 1min cd, incap on 1min cd, range kick, 2 second 100% dodge every 8 seconds or so, ranged kidney on 30s cd, aoe stun, purge, dash with little to no cooldown, leap that slows enemies on low cd, you’re immortal if you know how to play i suggest just l2ping instead of crying here about ur “trash” class
When I play 2s as healer, it turned out it’s much easier to kill self-healing healer, than self-healing DH. They have way too much defensives and heals.
As if healers are immobile or what? If you can’t kite a lone DH as a healer by running around a pillar I question how well you’re playing.
Demonic Origins is trash lol.
Trash. +10% fury and attack speed? Are you kidding me? Other classes have PVP talents so good there’s an actual choice process involved.
Yeah it was so OP that DH was underrepresented in arena, now they’re even less. Wonder why.
It was so OP Trill didn’t even use it in the final. Delusional.
Oh yeah, look at that 20% leech in meta. Do you know how math works? Assuming you maintain a 10K DPS ST ( which you won’t ) that’s 2K HPS. Any healer can do more damage than that, so your idea of not needing healing is insane.
Use Blur outside of enemy cds and you die when they pop them.
Kidney lasts 6 seconds, eruption lasts 4 and has 10 sec longer cd.
One second.
10 seconds is not little.
If I’m so immortal how come we have a 2.5% representation in top 200?
Stop talking out of your a$$. DH is horrible in arena right now, and several streamers stopped playing it.

it turned out it’s much easier to kill self-healing healer, than self-healing DH.

Congratulations, you learned basic 2v2.
Of course it’s easier to kill the damn healer when your stuns and kicks are on him and he can’t freecast. Also dampening.
The DPS is almost never the kill target in 2v2.
imagine if u spent the time writing these excuses on actually learning how to play
