a already bad system now bringing up more reasons to farm to “not fall behind”
It’s not even OP as class, it has one OP spec, the burstiest spec in the game paired with whole lot of utility and mobility
Feels like they aren’t sure what to do with other 2 specs, imo frost should just be moved into full pvp spec and arcane should be reworked as it’s mechanically unpleasing to play
Well, lookin’ at warlogs, all 3 specs are viable. And it’s quite the same in M+, mages are always welcome, whereas something like ret and enh shaman are just straight out denied.

Well that’s more of a question what’s meta. and Fire mage’s place in meta is guaranteed by its burstiness and being uncapped.
But would it be healthy for the game if ret and fire mage switched positions? No, it would be the same as now. The issue is in core gameplay of the spec.
So I would say the main problem is not the lack of viability of ret, but unhealthy advantage some specs have in m+ environment. And this is probably dictated by MDI and esport design affecting class design.

Do you remember what Ion said during launch? Covenants and legendaries will be balanced on launch and you will never have to change them during the xpac , we want you to make that choice according to the looks not the player power.
It’s funny cuz i changed all my toons to night fae last week in order to be able to dps…
I am not too fussed about it. The difference for me between the two legendaries are minor, and while SKS leggo is slightly better for single target it is also slightly worse for AoE. Do note that I am still Night Fae, not going to re-roll to Venthyr.
Disciplinary Command is good for both, and we are at the point of the tier where this level of power boost shouldn’t really matter much in terms of progression. I think I will survive, and if not my gold will be buried with me in Vol’dun.
Those who feel compelled to do the gring again for a legendary? I feel sorry for them, but I feel that it is unnecessary to swap at this point unless they really like the concept of that legendary.
There is few specs afaik where they all are balanced. And u either choose for cosmetics or what your team needs.
