For how many years has your Argent Tournament adventure been going on?

I never complained that its too hard and that it need to be made easier. I like that it requires a lot of work and dedication. I was just saying that it takes a long time, and thats a fact, and that can be annoying, but that content is totally optional so no one is forcing me to do it.

And actually if we devide time needed to buy all mounts with the amount of mounts you can get from AT, its actually not that bad. Some other factions require a lot of work to only get 1 mount in the end…

but you said…

Time ≠ effort

I could sit on the sofa for 6 days straight but it would not require any effort

Took me about a year or 2 to champion all races. Yeah it only takes 5 days per race but doing it consecutively is so mind numbingly boring I had to take breaks in between.

was not Argent Tournament quests removed in bfa ??

Why would they be? The Shadowlands prepatch might have made them temporally unavailable during the event, but WotLK Icecrown is since back.

Although a tad sad that the SL prepatch phase of the zone is unavailable as I never got to farm all the needed tokens to clear the vendor for the prepatch transmogs.

But I never stated anywhere that I want it to be easier? I didn’t create this topuc to complain about Argent Tournament. I made it tell people how lazy I am that it took me 10 years to do just some parts of that event. And I wanted other people to share their story. There was no complaining and I am sorry if you understood it that way.

This is commitment! Holy moly, 45 days of grind on 6 chars

Thought that im done with argent tournament but i started doing completionism collecting and now need to re-do it on my warrior for mogs

ye, sounds like a heavy task, but it;s not THAT bad.
You only do the dailies on the main, the other 5 chars you run ToC HC Once for 3 x Seals to get their city mounts without ever doing the quests at all. This takes like 20 mins max.
The main dailies also should not take more than 40 minutes during the grind for crusader, after that maybe 25 mins, that is if go for the full 20 seals/day.
So around 45-60 minutes per day. That’s like gathering people and running a single M+ / day time, maybe even less then that if you are dps / don’t have a stable group. You do get 15 mounts at the end of it, so really decent time spend / gains.

TO PUT IT INTO PERSPECTIVE:

  • Took me 4-5 months of daily grinding up to 3-4-5 hours a day to get the Mechagon Meta achievement, with a TON of RNG involved, and I was on the lucky side, that is AFTER some big buffs to the drop rates of key blueprints. Can’t really imagine what it was like before. That was all for a single mount.

The worst thing about AT is probably that one quest that takes you to the other side of the Northrend, and you often need to grab something along the way. And I sometimes forget that I need to grab those things because the map marker doesnt show that. But after you become a Champion that quest doesnt show up anymore so thats good.

that’s a valiant quest, so only until you get champion with all cities = aka crusader. Then you don’t have to worry about doing anything outside of Icecrown. Cuts the time by a lot.

Yep! I have 2 more things left to do on my “mecha-done”. I just w8 for the right quest to pop atm. I need blue spraybot and BM thing from the panda!

I may return and finish what I started in WOtLK

I don’t think I’ve ever completed and collected everything. I think I unintentionally got a load of stuff by going Alliance for the start of WoD, then coming back to Horde before the end, as it just unlocked all the faction equivalents.
