I have no other hobby personally and still disagree with this dude.
I prolly play close to enough hours per week to also be able to build in the enviroment he wants, I still entirely disagree with his opinion however.
This is about the fact he wants to feels good, not because he actually cares for the games health. Players who aren’t capable of clearing content in the gear ment for the raid obviously are gonna try and screech about needing to be able to do everything at once.
Mythic raiders, world first raiders and more all say the same things as us, because beleive it or not they want to log on and raid, not log on to permanantly stuck pushing infinite grinds for borrowed power.
How the hell does timegating help a casual.
A “casual” player is a player who invests little time into the game and mainly participates in the game via old content or soloable content such as story. Your idea is more in the casuals field as the competitive scene doesn’t matter to them.
A “hardcore” player is someone who Invests multitudes of time pushed into a content they want to progressively be competitive within. It negatively affects them because the more grind you force into the game the more hoops they have to jump through
There’s a reason the only surviving playerbase in the game are casuals. And that’s because the game burnt out every player trying to be competitive among it.
This thread is something special , that’s for sure. OP is still trolling too which is impressive , most give up pretty fast. The game is perfectly fine with timegating and thank god it exists to avoid people like you kicking people that dont play 15 hrs a day every single day. “casuals” as you call them
It’s funny because world’s first players, high raiders and more were the first invited into the beta, which means It was their ideas that Influenced the changes to the game.
So SL is effectively created from the feedback of “hardcore players” 🤦🤦 but this dude relents.
Not at all. There will always be a difference between casuals (ie-me) and tryhards (ie-you).
For example I would expect you to have max levels done on Torhast/renown, have done all your mythic0, geared up, got your legendary and be waiting for the raids to open and mythic dungeons to become available.
Im not doing any of that shizzle so you are automatically better off then me (debatable in the larger sense) therefore can happily sit back and say you are ‘winning’ at WoW. /sarcastic eyeroll
He’s just a player who basically subs to each expansion to complete the story and leave the game, his issue is the new model of the game streamlines that content over 2 years which means he has to keep playing instead of bursting through it over a month and going.
He’s not here championing a idea any of them have stated, nor anything that has been implied by feedback.
Players who play the game in this way are effectively hurt as they cannot simply just log on spam through the story content and leave anymore.
Imagine not having to constantly grind every minute of every day.
A lot of Players wanted rid of titanforging so they could be done with gearing.
A lot of Players wanted caps on grinds so they could be done for a day or a week doing “chores”.
We either have timegated grinds or infinite grinds. Otherwise the GOGOGO brigade would spam whatever gave the most grindable results and either complete the entire expansion’s grind a few weeks or else they just be constantly grinding forever.
