As I said, let’s see you are playing in Earthshaker Alliance, but all your friends let’s say are playing Golemagg Horde, so, Blizzard gives you the option to go away from Earthshaker for free to Golemagg Alliance (ye, is dead in that serv), but, after that u only need to pay faction change.
So, it depends the perspective and every situation of the player, don’t blame blizzard because they didnt told you that thing or whatever. Do your research, easy.
Yes, forcing people to pay for a faction change after they’ve lost all of their friendships is going to work out just great isn’t it?
I’m blaming Blizzard for keeping up a charade of choice (where there is none) while demanding players ease their job of merging servers.
But then, I actually expect the people I pay to deliver a service, guess we’re different like that.
I don’t see the point of this thread. Did you already try contacting support and asking to be moved to Gehennas instead?
Well they opened free transfer loophole via Mograine to Gehennas in late summer 2022. When all except 1K Horde left they made another attempt giving free transfer from Firemaw to Gehennas just along faction change service arriving in the shop. That made the rest abandon the realm, and around 20% of Alliance faction change and FCT as well to Gehennas.
Experience tells us the only thing you’re gonna get from that is “sorry, GMs can’t do that”.
They should close dead realms, offhandedly, without regard.
