I’m just quoting ion that said in a recent interview that they think classes are fine as is with enough spells / cc / defensives
So it’s utterly useless to think we might one day be back with wotlk/Cata/mop era quality gameplay, the game has been dumbed down since Warlords ever since so idk why people keep their hopes high 3 expansions in a row with gameplay being worse and worse while they clearly say they are fine with what it is
Yes I guess it was poorly put up, also I wasn’t saying you directly to op but to all people thinking we might one day go back to interesting classes
It’s not in their plans, like PvP vendors, no matter how much people will ask for them it’s not in their plans it’s not part of the game design.
I’m still playing the game occasionally for other reasons now that what made me play the game first hand but it’s definitely not for its gameplay or progression systems and I’d gladly recommend to anyone that’s playing for that hoping it goes better with time to quit cause it’s a lost cause and sub figures basically shows it

That interview was last year.
This year’s Q&A promptly had Ion admitting that “they’re looking back at the core class design for future expansions”, because the class design feedback has been so overwhelmingly bad. They admit it’s a hard question (which it is), but they’ve admitted they went too far with the prune.
