For some reason, the 2nd WoW account on my battle net account, launched within the 1st minute. Maybe cuz the 1st account was launched?.. dunno, this is weird, yo!

Had same issue YDAY did scan and rapair, worked once, once i tunred the pc off and tryed play at later time i had to wait 10m before game start.
Also -uid wow_engb is not working in my case.
Try starting WoW from the .exe inside the wow retail folder did the trick for me
it worked after a scan and repair last night again but this morning it isn’t launching. will try s&r again but i really thought the reset would help T_T
if it’s greyed out, it’s because there is an instance of wow.exe in your task manager, kill that and then you should be able to run scan and repair
Still a problem as of today…When can we expect devs to give a response? We’re still paying customers, arent we?

started ptr instead as kamu said, then close it again to launch retail

It finally launched yesterday, but today I’m having the same issue

Last night worked but now, back with this issue.
Had issue yesterday, eventually it decided to load up after 5 or so mins, today same issue but with a popup window:
“The CAS system was unable to initialize: Tact instance creation failed.
Error (16): container locked
Tact instance creation failed. Error (16): container locked”
Does not want to work this time.
All files are intact, downloads downloaded and installed; internet is fine.
I got the same thing! Just botted it up and that appeared.

I want to add that the game will actually launch after a weird 10 minutes.
Clicked play, went to get coffee and some food, came back and it popped up 2-3 times.
I have the same issue as well, it takes roughly about 10 minutes for the game to load.
The game updated on the third attempt and started 11 minutes later. And why was the maintenance performed? Although what can be fixed in 1 hour!
Same here, since yesterday. Game launched eventually after waiting 10 minutes. Checked for updates, ran scan and repair, doesn’t seem to have fixed anything because the same thing happened again just now.
Same here. Had to wait like 5 minutes for the game to start.
Still no answer from blizz… this is what happens when you hire people under DEI programs. Full imcompetence!

I have never had this issue. 10min to login to the game. And devs are silent like a grave. Nothing on twitter, nothing on forums.
Me too, If I can get it to scan and repair it’ll launch. Left it 10 mins and nothing (got bored should have left it longer). It’s continually trying (and failing to update cata classic).
