the game is the most fun it's ever been honestly I don't want to be bothered staring at my action bar choosing which one of the 9999 abilities I have (even though 99% of them aren't even part of the dps rotation) I got to press, instead I just spam 123 like a genius and do the deed while enjoying the amazing boss encounter which I totally haven't done in 4 different difficulties it's a part of before getting to mythic
I think BFA is going in the right direction in so many ways and when I fall asleep I pray that it keeps going in it! and in all honesty my head hurts when I have too many abilities on my action bar so i'd love if they made some spells like Immolate a talent same maybe for conflagrate or for affliction 2 of the many dots that the spec has... maybe for demonology they can make shadow bolt a talent and make your pets passively generate soul shards because casting feels so clunky and I need to be much more mobile and I can just jump around instead of casting shadow bolt all the time
I like BFA I loved Legion people just whine over stupid things sometimes and that's okay I mean everyone has their views on the game, but blizzard have done an outstanding job this expansion with the classes they are 100 times more interesting than legion and Legion was a thousand times more interesting than anything WoD and before
BFA is awesome
The game certainly has a lot of problems but this rotation-babbying needs to stop. Vanilla frost mage DPS was literally one button and we all loved it anyway. Maybe get out in the world and play vs some other players and you'll see that there's more to the game than 1,2,3'ing into a raidboss for hours straight.31/10/2018 22:20Posted by AyevCan't muster the motivation, or care, to do anything.
Playing just consists of spamming 2-3 buttons (eyes open is optional) and I know loot obtained is locked behind an internal algorithm that decides when I'm to get something.
I would have been someone who would put a lot of time into obtaining better items but the current loot system protects against this, so everything is averaged out, people who play/raid months can have gear similar to someone who plays a few weeks.
Before you could work toward loot, now you can't. The game now decides because Blizzard want complete control over everything.
The whole experience now just feels empty and soulless.
I feel sad and angry. I loved this game. I know I've to accept it and/or just quit but it's still sad and frustrating.
Unless you're a warlock, because it's the worst pvp class and blizzard doesn't give a !@#$.
01/11/2018 18:57Posted by Acceleroyou're all wrong my fellow duders because as long as raid boss encounters are fun it matters not how many abilities the class you're playing have at it's disposal

ur cute
If you played from the start back in the good old days you will know it was great fun exciting an amazing experience back then . I have great memories , most of my freinds have moved on its gone from 12 million peeps world wide to around one million now. Its a mess compared how it used to be . its no fun no more just childish spamming a few buttons . Even the graphics have become stupid .
itâs too much of a safe space now to be exciting, i neither want, nor need to be constantly told how to see, think and feel, i donât need a game to be my moral compass, canât finish the story because if i hear the word âtogetherâ one more flipping time.
damn itâs hard to live in your new world.
Do you realize that you just replied to a thread from 2018 that talked about BFA?
Anyway, how is that even possible? I thought that threads automatically close after a month of inactivityâŚ
that wasnt the case in 2018 i think .it was introduced afterwards that threads getting close after 30 days of non activity.
I love how conceited most players here are about how easy the game is, and yet every single person, including myself, has learned classes from a guide. Education is all about making things easy. If you really want the game to be harder then work it out for yourself. Donât join raid groups where everyone is expected to know the fight.
The game is a mix of RNG and chores. Blizzard have sucked the fun out of it, despite pleas and suggestions from the community.
Iâll be around until Undermine(d) because, well Goblins but after that it may be time to say goodbye until the next expansion. Weâll see.
Holy necro!
Anyway, it illustrates how timeless these threads are
Do you realize that you also just replied to a thread that was about a thread talked about from 2018 aswell , funny old world innit .
I donât think that game is easy. I think that game is ridiculously hard. And I donât like it.
I dont mind the level difficulty with fights, but I find the button bloat tedious.
The game is hard on so many levels.
- Ridiculous amount of abilities, buffs, effects, talents.
- Professions are overcomplicated.
- Game client is complicated. For âseriousâ gameplay you need to install dozens of addons, every addon has hundreds of settings which should be configured. You need some programming skills to efficiently use and troubleshoot addons.
- Surrounding infrastructure is complicated. You need to navigate multiple discord servers, probably follow some streamers, keep up on guides, make effectively use of warcraftlogs. Itâs like whole profession. Every new raid and dungeon brings hundreds of ability that you need to memorize and configure into your auras and bossmods.
- Raiding is complicated. Rotation is not really easy for most classes and on top of that, you need to simultaneously track multiple boss abilities, plan the fight ahead. And someone need to plan the fight for entire raid.
- M+ is complicated. You need to survive big pulls, you need to kick important casts while not overlapping with each other. You need to plan for cooldowns, need to take into account a route.
And on top of that thereâs braindead content like questing or LFR which require little more than just go there and auto-attack this guy to death. But the real game is so complex.
And whatâs worse: itâs complex for everyone. You canât invite your friend into M+ if heâs bad. You can carry him to some extent, but not that far.
Iâm playing this game for 15 years, but I just canât keep up with it anymore, I have only so much time and will. For me the perfect amount of complexity was in WotLK. I knew every class, I knew every ability, I knew most talents and builds. I knew every dungeon and raid. It was not brain-dead simple, but it was accessible to ordinary mortals who decided to try some raids. And that guy who turns with keyboard and forgot his arrows was not dead weight.
I agree with 99% of what you are saying, it pretty much sums up a lot of what I am thinking. The game is massively over complicated for most players. But this complexity is what a lot of players want from the game. Knowing which addon to use and knowing how to configure them is part of the Epeen for some players.
I really agree that WotLK was their last great expansion. This was before Activision got their hands on the game. WotLK got the balance mostly right. Ulduar is still my most memorable raid. 10 man Mim fight was awesome. TOC was a huge failure. ICC was just learning the dance. But the class balance was well done throughout the expansion. I played one of every class. A mate and I ran through ICC a couple of times a night. It was great entertainment.
The damage output in M+ ATM is excessive. Seeing one shot because you missed an interrupt is fairly bad. The herald in city is a bad design. It spam casts every 5 seconds, and if you miss one on a 10 a player dies.
Everything is a drudge now, with an algorithm holding you back every step of the way. There is no RND in the game anymore, anyone who believes that there is, is deluding themselves. Play many alts and it is not hard to see the patterns of rewards or outcomes.
I run many alts through delves in a multi-box set up. I have gained a ton of maps in the last 2 weeks. Every single map results in a duplicate of the hero piece I already had. This was on some alts that only had 2-3 hero pieces. A monk I have only has 2 hero pieces and yet the map did this 3 times to him.
Many have complained about the progression climb, and how it drops off a cliff at many points. I firmly believe this was nothing more than manipulation to sell gold, this along with the profession changes we see today. I have maxed out all professions since the initial release of Wow. I gave up in DF. It was very obviously just a gold sink con. I have zero intention of engaging in any more professions until I see they have removed the gold sink in such egregious levels from them.
I paid for a full yearâs sub last February. I thought I would give this expansion that good olâ college try, just to see if I could rekindle some old memories. To say I am disappointed doesnât even cut it.

Is that why every spec needs at least 40+ unique keybinds for even entry-difficulty content and looking away from your screen for half second to sneeze instantly wipes the entire group?

O.o I just realized that. How come this thread wasnât locked for 30 days inactivity?

Can you define entry-difficulty content? Iâm pretty sure people could get through M0 very comfortably with using just three buttons.

I have failed M+2 runs (Stonevault specifically this season). And I donât mean that we didnât make the timer. I mean that we called the run without completing it.
I have failed LFR runs, though none this season. But I do remember reaching 7 or 8 stacks of determination on all 3 final bosses of Dragonflight raids, and even wiping on Raszageth with 10 stacks. I have also entered many runs for Blackrock Caverns Normal here during the anniversary which called it off after numerous wipes on the 4th boss with the golems.
Content has stopped being brute-forceable since quite a lot of years without the legacy buff. At the same time, there isnât a gradual increase in âattention requirementâ from easy content to hard. Itâs like going from content where you just need a reaction time of 5 seconds to needing reaction time of <1 second with nothing in-between.
