Gamepass and wow

WoW provides a steady stream of cash each month plus an expansion every two years. plus some cash shop purchases.

Where as CoD is every year but costs less than a year sub. However I would bet CoD brings in more from the cash shop so putting it on game pass makes sense.

No. Console gamers are a bit of a different breed.
I don’t think I’d like having that sort around. Sorry not sorry.

The risk of it affecting WoW negatively is just too great.

You know MMO have been on consoles before right? lol TESO is there and FF14… FF11 before that.

Even a discounted sub price for having Gamepass would be nice, you can already do stuff like play some of the Activision Blizzard games already for having it.

And? That doesn’t change a thing about my argument.
Add to that my subjective opinion that I think those 2 examples are bad mmorpgs.

Your opinion lol but FF14 has as many subs as WoW… its doing something right… And sorry but I’m a console gamer… so where you going with that? Console gamers are inferior or something lol.

WoW is 20 years of age and under MS now… I would worry more about that than getting new players and platforms…

Wow is going in the right direction FF14 isn’t, they will cease development on ff14 within 2 years.

would be cool, but microsoft losing money with this idea, so they wont do that sadly

i also wish wow being f2p and locked behind a Battlepass, so more People would play it

i know allot of People from my Private Server history and many of them only Playing there because they cant afford Gametime

More Players in this game is always good for us : D but sadly Microsoft or every Big company cares only about Money ^^

Because they are so brainwashed by corporate that this is the norm for them.
They pay for the convenience, and don’t look further ahead.

And when you point out it’s better to own a physical copy, oh boy you should see the amount of misinformation being spouted about how ā€œgames are not fully on discā€ and ā€œyou still don’t own the gameā€ā€¦

But watch Internet or the online service go down for a day, oh boy the world is ending.

Er when publishers ship incomplete codes on discs Xbox does this everytime… and need day 1… Physical is as bad. and now systems come with no disc drive and around 20% total spending its days are numbered.

You don’t own the game… you own a license same as digital. If you own the game making copies and selling them wouldn’t be breaking the law…

Thank you for proving my point.
93% of games on all platforms, are actually complete and playable offline.
It’s indeed XBox that has a track record of shipping empty discs requiring complete downloads.

I’m part of a team that tests actual games on discs in offline mode: https://www.doesitplay.org/
Guess who scores the worst…

Nintendo Switch games come with codes… and its cart based… and PS5 Pro comes with no drive… PS5 DE and Series S also have no drive. Do you think PS6 will… Your discs are going to be relics same as PC discs… Both mediums have their pros and cons…

So you know the newest AC game yet to be released needs an online connection to install… Discs are not the silver bullet you think

Yes, that’s why I said that. I even doubled down on it by saying ā€˜subjective opinion’ and ā€˜I think’.
So, what’s your point?

Don’t claim I said or implied stuff that I never said. I said ā€˜different’.
And in general that’s true. Of course there’s overlap and people that enjoy both, but in general there’s a clear divide between what type of gamer plays on PC and what type of gamer plays on console.

Neh. WoW got to 20 years by doing what they’ve been doing. And that didn’t include going on consoles. My argument and opinion stand firm.
