I have literally not had to spend more than 5 min ever to make a group for a dungeon in wrath, might be because I ask in my guild for people first and fill out the last spot or 2 with the tool. And non of the dungeons take less than 5 min to clear.
You and everyone else who is screaming about wanting RDF and claiming the tool is bad are clearly not using it in the intended way, Blizzard have made clear that they want to make guilds and friendslists be more important than they were from 3.3.0 and forwards in classic. If you would use it to fill the last few spots then its an amazing tool, but if you are just trying to use it like the RDF then ofc its bad. The social interactions are not in the dungeons them self but whit your friends and your guild, sometimes you pick up a person from something like a worldtour even, they might join your guild or they saw that you were a player who knows what they are doing so they add you to their friends list so that the next time they can just whisper you and ask you if you want to join instead of going through the tool.
aKsHaULlY, Blizzard actively encourages people to of all backgrounds and genre enjoyers to come and explore Azeroth, from the prompts on loading screens suggesting players bring their friends to Azeroth, to cross promotion, TV Spots, Celebrity endorsement and Promotions such as recruit a friend.
WoW has always been a “game for everyone”, just because some people take it upon themselves to gatekeep does not change this fact. It is easily one the most accessible MMO’s to exist.
gratify or indulge (an immoral or distasteful desire or taste or a person with such a desire or taste).
“newspapers are pandering to people’s baser instincts”
They want people who quit retail and stated “because, RDF ruined WoW”, or people who quit and play pservers or both to give them $$ and will say whatever to keep you playing, even allowing you to believe they actually care about any of the people they are pandering too.
There are no Dwarf Shamans in classic, classic is not for me I guess. Off to retail I go.
Removing a tool, for their own reasons, and pandering to wayward customers as to why they did does not mean the entirety of Classic wow and everything in it is “not for everyone”. They have already changed their reason from pillars and preserving social interaction to clarifying they are worried people will consume content too fast.
Nobody needs RDF to raid, or PVP or Quest, or farm or grind.
Shame I’m on another server or I would glady have taken up arms with you on your ramage through the frozen north. If only there was a way we could do that, oh wait…
Yes Retail completely sucks but its not rdf that makes it suck, it’s outer powers, unholy daily locks, forced dailies with no end, gear disparity is through the roof, lack of content, etc.
Other modern mmos are usually actions rpgs, ffxiv is too story focused for my taste. Literally nothing to do with RDF why i dont play them and wotlk not exactly standing high with its infested elitist players, bots, gdkp’s and rmt’s.
Copium, it started when wow community stopped being friendly and started being a toxic nightmare. if RDF is the cause of wow downfall then why is FFXIV gaining in popularity and social aspect when it’s literally even more convenient where even ur savage raids are instant ports into it
