I can not, and will not answer for anything someone else has done. It would be wierd, frankly. I can however state the following. As a officer, I do not allow nor accept any behavior in the areas discuss above. Especially since I´ve kids myself comming to the age that they are playing the game.
I can also state that on that note I ask, nay- plead u if u find any proof of this sort of behavior from now on. That u present it to me AND a GM. It is not CoC, it is not allowed and will not be tolorated by me. Personally. Nor by the guild.
Now with that said. I once more remark, I am not one to judge, nor execute based on what has been. I prefer trying to redeem and move forth. I am not sure what the goal of the rest here is, nor do I pretend to know.
And by adding some flavour with goblin-style RP (ergo whackings/smackings and mobster-like RP and tradebuisness wich is very much presented ingame by any Gallywix/goblin NPC). I want to create a great chance for RP. Period.
I seriously thank you all for being this enganged in the game and the surrounding community, without this sort of forum we could never be able to improve, both as characters aswell as persons.
As do we all but with what has happened in the past perhaps it is time for a fresh start. Maybe a new guild name a move away from past. I am sad to say now the name Gearfist comes with a lot of baggage where once it was a pillar in community. With the memories i have being in the guild a number of years ago are still some of the best i have but part of me feels i can not admit to being in that guild now.
If you want constructive criticism, here are three things Gearfist need to do if you don’t want a repeat of last time:
Prostitution and Trafficking: Redefine these to something that’s not explicit. In game we see that there are Goblin socialites and floozies, but that really means gals who’ll go on dates with you for the night or be your armcandy, at no point is prostitution mentioned as part of Goblin lore. Trafficking wise, no trafficking women wouldn’t exist in WoW lore either, but slaving and bounty hunting does. Your definition of trafficking needs to be defined in your post- if it’s just capturing and taking someone who someone else wants in chains to a specified location it’s interesting RP, when it’s trafficking in the general sense of the word, it’s worrying.
Domineering: Last time Gearfist was around the guild started out well but eventually everything devolved into Gearfist basically taking over almost the entire Goblin RP community. Gearfist would do anything and everything, launching new operations based on what other guilds were made. I have memories of my first Goblin guild being in a situation where Gearfist tried to buy us out and then started attacking us. Competition is good, but when RP becomes focused on stomping out all of the ‘competition’ aka other guilds, it begins to become something ugly which has the potential to stifle RP rather than generate it.
ERP/Profiles: The first thing Gearfist seemed to do when you returned was to re-invite some of the people known for ERPing in the past and quite publically at that. I’ve also found some members who have links to a site which states what their ‘kinks’ are displayed on their TRP, even prominently sometimes. That’s not a good way to start off a guild that’s had a troubled past on a good note.
To be honest, I have read some profiles from their members, even was sent that screenshoot where someone literalyl had an f-list linked there in the OOC section. It’s crap, they need to change or leave…
I had no idea Gearfist was so focused on ERP? I recall they used to be a fairly respectable guild back then. Didn’t they have many famous (now retired) goblin characters in it?
Yes it´s already been done, actually by the first hours after the misspost.
That is indeed correct we did use to do that. ICly we might(!) still try to buy other companies. OOCly we have no such ideas nor do we do only goblins only. Wich is also mentioned in the first post here.
3.Im not sure when us say ”you returned” if u mean me specific or the guild but either way- Here I again point to my earlier post, if you have proof of this please let me know in PM´s. I will ofc make sure to look around myself but if u already know the TRP´s / have the proof it would save us all a great amount of time, and unnecsesarry discussions.
