Did you account for the time it took to put the raids together? Time can be equally wasted outside and inside of the raid.
This is possible to an extent. If you see someone advertising a PuG and demanding gearscore, just have your guild reported the advertiser. If you can get enough people to report him, he will get autobanned by the system and will have to endure at least two weeks of ticket submitting before he gets to speak with an actual human and possibly get unbanned.
This was happening on Mograine earlier with GDKP advertisements. Many advertisers actually got banned.
I always told that giving players the power to ban is a VERY BAD idea.
Itâs not necessary at all, and I hope they were actually toxic towards you because thatâs what it deserves. Raid loggers lol. I hope no one joins your raids. Iâm not posting any gearscore to anyone, if no one takes me then Iâll not raid outside of guild.
Just realised youâre the person that was asking for 50% xp buff to come back.
Very elitist
Big clap.
Everyone knows whats happening about this game from 14y ago.
But sure, i cleared all raids with 4 green geared ppl + s3d.
i dont see the problem honestly.
why do people get so riled up over this?
if you want a 6 hour run with a clueless 3k gs group just make your own.
people are allowed to make 4k naxx pugs if they want. you donât have to join
If peopleâs requirements for their random groups is a problem for you, join a guild.
No itâs not. You just have right to remand 4k gearscore for your âquick badge runâ. That however does not make it necessary to clear the raid, and others have full right to disapprove with anyone who demand 4k GS for Naxx.
I just check on achievements, gearscore is a fake stat in phase 1 when some classes pre bis is still tbc stuff. Dont have fingers and toes to count all the 4k gs chads that do 1k lower dps then me sitting at 3.8 with simmed gear.
gs is cringe.
Clearly isnât nesessary as we managed 2 expansions without it.
Seeing people asking for GS equal to or higher than the gear that drops is straight up cringe.
Funny thing is last 25 man i was in, people flaming others for having low gs died from shadow spots during kt fights.
On one hand, people existing in a different galaxy shouldnât disturb me. Their lives, their runs.
On the other, I secretly wish that one day they fall off their high horse somehow. Not getting help from a person they ignored, or their elite scene dying out because everyone gets bored.
Itâs one thing to have requirements and another level to announce it and collectively spit on the plebs. Thatâs no class, thatâs poor.
At best, compensation for a very unsuccessful life.
At worst, an intergalactic ego.
As long as the leader meets his own GS requirements, I donât see what the problem is. You are free to group with other players who have a gear score & level of experience similar to your own.
As long as there are other PUG raid groups where the only requirement is being geared from heroic dungeons and having basic knowledge of the raid boss mechanics, then there is no issue.
It start to begin issue if every raid PUG have 4k GS requirement. Players can form their own raid PUG if they have what it takes, I would recommend doing raids with guild though.
and alas the cycle repeats itselfâŚ
can you not see how player like you turned retail into the trash it is today ?
congratulations on that btw.
I agree. In many depressing ways J Alan Brack was correct. We really did âthink we did but we didnâtâ.
There was so much talk about wanting to âre-experience the time we had in vanillaâ when the call went out for Classic servers.
So many passionate pleas from people who just wanted the âold WoWâ back again, not the antisocial, convenience-packed corridor shooter that retail had become.
When asked they explained that it was always the social aspect of vanilla et al that they missed the most. The chance to once again mix with people, engage in a true MMORPG, get out and about into a living breathing world⌠and all that jazz.
Skip forward, our dreams have been delivered and what do with do with that dream?
We rush and race, and blast through it like a buzz saw through tissue paper. Out only interest is efficiency, speedâŚand⌠you guessed it, convenience.
We ignored the âliving, breathing worldâ, and boosted ourselves at break-neck speed by running endless dungeons with a Mage, AOEing down everything in their path.
We ignored the adventure, experience, and social pull of end game content, and focussed on extreme min/maxing and the Holy Meta - bending over backward to grab every possible world buff, just so as to maybe shave 10 minutes from the run, because speed was our God.
We blitzed through content, swallowing it down like cheap ale, rather than savouring it like a fine wine, and ended up burned out, logged out, raid logging - waiting the the weekdays to crawl around ready for the next speed fest.
But it still wasnât enough.
Now people like the OP DEMAND that the people he considers privileged enough to play with him must be well-overgeared for the raid he is doing, because otherwise it will âtake too longâ.
Explaining tactics âtakes too longâ.
Speaking to people âtakes too longâ,
So itâs a case of GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO>>>>> repeat ad nauseum.
So much for âre-living the social experienceâ.
We thought we did, but we didnât.
Both where scheduel (Spelling?) raids.
The Fast & High geared one was a PuG sign up on discord with Gear checks.
The low geared & Slow run was a guild run who invited anyone even some tgat had only been level 80 for an hour.
Since both sign ups were up for days in advance i donât think making the groups took that much time.
its not necessary - use it if you want to - your game time - but it most certainly isnât necessary
So far the only thing I havent done in p1 classic wotlk is immortal. Everything else is done. I only pug with a few friends and i havent used GS once. Why would I care about your gear in a game that requires literally nothing to steamroll?
