I am dead certain Blizz had no idea what to do with the burning of Teldrassil. The narrative really went down the toilet with this week’s campaign quest. It really shows Blizz has no idea for the arcs of the characters they’re setting up.
Here’s how it could’ve been better - Sylvanas is the last boss of BFA. “At the time of her 3rd death, she ushers in our coming”. All this Shadowlands stuff - forget it. Instead, make it so Vol’jin heard the whispers of N’zoth who told him to put Sylvanas as warchief. Bam. Then, when she dies, some thingamajig happens and the old gods invade. And that’s 9.0.
