I’m glad I saw your and Liliith’s post as during the day my gift box kept highlighting I could claim and when I looked I saw those items and thought cripes they are being sneaky tricking me into claiming them and inadvertently subscribing.
Just logged in now and got the 2 mounts - with no catch, thank you👍

But yeah I’m a bit sad about the way Blizzard is treating WoW. I remember the first time they offered a 12 month sub; they gave not a bunch of useless and moderately ugly pets, but instead we literally got Diablo 3. The whole game. Imagine if this sub bonus was not those pets, but Diablo 4. That’s the Blizzard we used to have.
Felt like they were trying, then.

Did happen to me. 12 Year sub whas only introduced just a weak after DF Patch and so I got basically 18 Months at once. Currently my subscription runs till October next year though it can soon be November if I upgrade DF Deluxe edition.
I ticketed CS cause I never got them and Blizz said no pretty much, I feel totally ripped off by them because I never realised so never thought much of it until a friend pointed it out today.
hm so maybe it only works if you bought it in decemeber ? dont knoww i know i deliberately wwaited with buying it last year till like almost new year or something - seems like it was right choice

Interesting. I logged into Battle.net yesterday and got it automatically (long story, no I didn’t buy the sub) but never logged in to check.
I got it from having a 1-year sub with a renewal date in April.
I subscribed on New Years Eve and got this promotion yesterday.

The fish isn’t new, it was a gift item in July for active 6 and 12 month subs.
Ofc Blizzard pulls this stunt off after I recently got the 6 month sub…

For everyone who got the promo from still being subbed from last years 12 months, be aware that you will be charged for a 12 month sub on your next payment date and your account is now automatically registered as 12 month sub instead of 6 month sub.

I got the rewards from still being subbed from last year’s 12 month offer. Otherwise I would have just waited 10 years for these items to be on the Trading Post so I could get them on the free.
