I’ve been kicked before, despite being top DPS in a leveling dungeon (which is irrelevant at those levels) on one of my characters. It was a smooth run and no one died or body pulled mobs so I was surprised that there was even a perceived need to kick me but then people seem to be very sheep like with the kick feature.
I’ve also seen some of the reasons people have tried to kick others which often makes no sense like the race or transmog that a person chose to create for their character, I guess people get triggered by others not adhering to their own petty standards while leveling.
Unless there is a particular issue (which is rare) or someone is being particularly unsavoury then I will always click no to the request. Its really sad that people feel its good to purposely ruin other peoples enjoyment in the game.
The fact that people kick any “underperformers” at all in levelling dungeons amaze me…
You can have 2 out 3 dps DC and you’ll usually be able to complete the dungeon anyway. It just moves slower.
There’s no need for anyone to bring their “A-game” to complete a levelling dungeon, so the few times I’ve seen kick-votes coming up based on “low dps” or “sucks” I just vote no.
1: why would they want to learn how to play an arcane mage from someone who doesn’t even know how to change spec, if theyre having such trouble. People don’t want to level with someone doing no damage but demands they compensate just cos class blahblahblah.
2: game doesn’t have trouble attracting new players at all, that’s why its still going.
youre the problem in this scenario, not the kickers
It is weird for sure but acting like an Elitist jerk is a new fad it’s been popularized sadly I have seen it on many leveling dungeon runs and excuses people use for their toxic behavior is like:the game has been out for years how can you not be good XD.
So glad you’re still up to your old tricks, Proctasm. It’s also funny coming from you given you pick all the incorrect Azerite traits and talents on both characters for ‘optimal dmg’ but try and pick on someone for their ‘dmg’ with zero evidence.
This is why there needs to be kick protection in the form of abuse being actioned, like it is in FF.
Who said OP was having trouble? It’s a leveling dungeon you need to be like 10 ilvl below what you get from quests at your level to actually hinder the group. And arcane is fine no need to change specs.
Again drawing quite the tangent are we? Besides in leveling dungeons you meet all kind of new and inexperienced players, if you kick anyone who’s below your imaginary DPS/healing minimum requirements you’d run out of people to play with pretty fast.
I did - just few months ago levelled my mecha-mage and I did try arcane, and I did drink, run, blast, run, but honestly - this was tedious way of leveling. met few arcane mages and they did ok,… but i swapped back to frost for stability and ability to kite around, when too bold tanks or what-not appeared. Arcanes I saw while leveling my mecha-nublet were doing perfectly fine. With blasts or no blasts, mana or no mana.
Now as for ‘being kicked’ - look around you in life, or forums here - people are ignorant. It is encoded into us. You cannot help it and no point miss any sleep over it either.
I can honestly say I haven’t met a single arcane mage in the entire BFA. It’s like 30% frost 70% fire.
The problem with Arcane, especially on low level, that they deal zero damage to start with, and by the time they have some stacks already and start dealing solid damage, they either run out of mana, or mobs are all dead already.
You spend like the first ~7 seconds of every fight useless, and after ~20 (or sooner, depends if you get some clearcasts or not) you’re out of mana. It’s not too bad for trash, the AoE is rather good, but single target is a pain until you get to higher levels.
And since I have not levelled in a while, aren’t these PUGs composed, sometimes, of players of very different levels with scaling going on in the background? Which makes it harder to compare DPS?
