Frost DK is played at 3300 rating. It just isn’t broken enough for your pea brain to make one and steamroll rating. Calling it ‘terrible’ is factually incorrect.
Nvm hardstuck 1800 in SS as a BM Hunter and 1900 as MM. No wonder, my eyes

Highest frost dk is 3.3k on NA. Nobody cares about NA ladder. Thats nitpicking for the sake of it. Higest EU is 3039.

Frost DK isn’t bad. Dual Weald one is. It requires a lot of uptime to pull off. That’s why people play 2h. They are based on completely different damage abilities.
playing frost as dual wield is like playing fury war with 1handers rather than 2handers
however in this case dual wield frost doesnt gain any benefit from using 1handers
2h frost gains +30% dmg boost to obliterate through talent frozen waste
while 1handers gain nothing to compensate
as some1 already pointed out its like playing on HC mode
1H Frost in PvP does have it advantages. You save a talent point and you gain another runeforge.
To be honest, 1H Frost is basically just Unholy playstyle but an inferior version with less output. 1H is a less skill required version of 2H Frost, as 1H Frost you just hold W and don’t rely on executing perfect setups. Which can honestly be pretty good for Solo Shuffle, as most people can’t comprehend how 2H Frost works and how to support it.

Setup is still binding sheet in grip aoe stun and stuff, thing is u get massive dmg from shattering blade using 1h.

Ye, bad wording by me. Meant that 1H’s whole gameplan doesn’t rely on executing a good setup, as you are not invested into Frostwyrm’s Fury and Chillstreak etc.
The 1H playstyle is pretty cool and fun, especially with Shattering Blade. Hopefully the buffs in the next patch will make it a more viable choice in PvP.
Have you tried investing into Remorseless Winter? It suits the sustained damage that 1H has.
