I got a goblin female and she’s so adorbs! Love the animated face when fishing and swimming, and the wiggly fingers when casting. And, well it’s probably the same for vulpera too, the ears wiggling when running.
The advantages of making her a goblin:
-You can wear shoes!
-Goblin rocket jump is really useful, especially if you plan to do content like dungeons and whatnot. Mobility is always good to have, and on top of that you also get a free bank access too if I recall it right.
The advantages of choosing a vulpera:
-Better looking totems (Unless you are into the whole drill aesthetic goblin totems resemble.)
-You have a tail.
-Make camp, especially now in SL when you only have your hearthstone to return to your covenant sanctum. Hearthstone combined with wormhole generator speeds up the process of travelling, while make camp makes it even better.
-8 extra bag slots (street workers be all over this one yo.)
The only real disadvantage I see in playing vulpera is that you cannot wear shoes, which you can as a goblin. If you aim to do any level of instanced content on her then I’d say you are better of in rolling a goblin, otherwise I’d go for vulpera because make camp is just really useful both to get around in current content areas, as well as to do raid mog runs.
That said there are mogs that do not fit either race, so I do not think that you should base your choice purely on that. Neither of these races look good with a helmet on for example.
And, just a personal opinion, the lore of a shaman fits vulpera much better than it does goblin.
Goblins are great! Don’t have a Vulpera yet. So I couldn’t say if they satisfying to play or no. I enjoy rocket boots. They have saved and killed me in equal measure
