Going from Feral to Rogue…

OP HERE ON MY ROGUE

So decided to play Rogue while waiting for reply, but I think I came up with an answer on my own by simply “experiencing the difference”.

Comparing Feral Druid and Rogue, I noticed that Rogue just feels more equipped for PvP combat.

With Rogue I can take on 2-3 people at the same time because of it’s CC utility, which I didn’t think would be possible.

I Sap one, Blind another, and then kill the third in a Cheap Shot + Kindey Shot stun lock. Then Gouge the 2nd player, and repeat the stun lock on the third… It feels quite awesome when you pull off some crazy stun kills. :joy:

However with Feral it has been more of a… I think the best word I have is “support Rogue”… Basically you DO have Rogue gameplay, but a lot of the stun based CC is taken away in favor of healing/dispelling/roots abilities, which are more support focused.

I guess I have just been too accustomed to Druids amazing self-healing abilities, to see how a Rogue could possibly beat a Feral. Not to mention that I noticed how much damage is being prevented through Rogue CC alone, which makes up for the healing.

I heard the phrase “Feral is a discount Rogue” somewhere, and after giving Rogue a go I can really see what people mean by that.

Essentially, Feral has a wide range of utility for a wide range of purposes, but Rogue utility is EXTREMELY targeted towards killing players. Which is why Feral feels 1000% better to use in open world content/PvE, since they just don’t die with their self-healing, while Rogue feels horrible against stronger PvE rares on their own. So It’s a give and take.

I have always geared my characters with the purpose of playing PvP through BGs or WPvP, and while Ferals can be argued better for WPvP because of their healing, I still think Rogue is the better choice here.
