I was about to reply nicely, but those clown emotes are so ahh. It’s so passive aggressive… I’ve seen you many times on forum, and it’s my last time replying. Not worth the energy.

Why did you take half of my sentence that changes the point I was making and repied to it? :clown_face: Yes, I heard a lot that people don’t like flying particularly, but that they can get to their quests fast or from zone to zone. And what about WoD? In wotlk, cata, mop you could just buy the flying on a specific lvl, but they introduced pathfinder in WoD, and people were not angry about there is no flying, but they have to do some chore, or sometimes timegating tasks to unlock flying… And outdated slow, and boring ground riding played a big role in this.

Again. It would be better received if the ground riding would be improved. The Maw itself had many issues that people hated, because it was just a bad design. I don’t know if you remember, but you couldn’t even use the ground mounts in the maw, and you were slowed pretty frequently, and that’s why people were hated it… The pathing and traveling through zone there was a nightmare BY THE ZONE DESIGN. Tell me then why people weren’t as much mad about The Undermine without flying, than they were for The Maw. It’s obvious.

Only one who should be removed is you by your passive aggressive mentality. I wish there would be the block option on the forum. Be more understanding and tolerant of the fact that someone may have a different opinion. If you don’t want to discuss a given topic and exchange constructive arguments instead of pinpointing everyone, it’s better not to write anything at all. Find happiness in life.

How is it hypocritical? It’s obvious that flying gives a lot of benefits over ground mounts. How is proposing matching this benefits by giving benefits to ground mounts in any way hypocritical? Asking for equality of benefits regardless of chosen way of travel is hypocritical?

but if tehy get more gold, exp and ressouces as you suggest, people woud tend to then use ground mounts because tehy are not stupid becsse the advantage.

like all who are aginst flying point out mimimi, tehy have a adadvanate, so yeah, aboz use then flying mouts too, tehn your ewaul, nobody hinders you to use it it.

it was not about the timegating, flying was intened not to be implementet in the first palce, thats why blizzard geting a massiv backlash and complains in the forum , so tehy need to comprimise and we got pathfinde as emrgency solutin.

as you stated, we had flying since BC and onyl requioment was max level and a HUGE chunk of gold), thats all, ane peole were uses to it fopr years and then suddely no more.

But giving ground mount user now a REAL value, hypothetically like 10% on gold or ressouces and exp, what will happen.
yes, those peole have a real, impectfull advantae, while those on flying mounts dont.
its not equality at the moment , people youd then fored on gound mouts for the better result.

The real hypocrisy is that they reject the flights because they bring advantages, , even better ones, but only for themselves on the ground.

Simply put, the issue is a cycle. People on flying mounts can swoop in and take quest mobs, or take advantage of PvP folks. At best, completing a round of objectives becomes so much faster and Blizzard starts gating and eventually inflating rewards just to keep things in check. Eventually, staying on foot feels like a disadvantage. Nothing new. In 2009 I did Zangarmarsh and there is a quest mob on 10 minute respawn. I made my way to them, started clearing the isle, then out of nowhere comes some guy, tags and takes the mob in the center, then away he goes. I still remember it simply because I had to spend the next 10 minutes waiting, clearing and hoping not another swooper comes in.

It’s the same as with dungeon finder. Initially we just ran a dungeon because fun and some loot, but as things got easier, it became expected to be BiS in days, and like current timewalking, just farm certain items, like end boss orbs and currency rewards, gold included. In return, Blizzard started inflating them and what was enough in the beginning, isn’t now.

Sure. When you can fly. Plenty of times and/or places where that isn’t an option.

Really wish they would go back to the original design of having Flying being something that unlocked near the end of an Expansion, when we had discovered and explored it on foot.

No need because you can still do that. You can use ground mounts only and start using flying mounts at end end expansion If you wish. Why we who prefer flying have to do same just because you want be grounded?

Problem is that the world is being designed with flying in mind, making the world massive and having things to far apart. So you could spend 5 minutes riding to a location you could fly to in 30 seconds, but why would you? There is nothing to do or look at along the way, because Blizzard are putting in minimal effort into actually making the ground look good, as everyone is just flying over it.

At this point, they may as well just remove all open-world PVE aspects and just have it be dungeons, raids and delves.

Flying was also the deathblow for World PVP. Why would anyone want to PVP, when you can’t even see the enemy coming and have a chance to get away. They just swoop down, kill you and take off again.

Bummer for you i quess but ever thought that its because majority of us like it that way and even howmuch you like stay in ground what you can If you want to we not wanna get forced to stay in ground just because of you

You are really contradicting yourselves here.

no, it was the introduction of Bg`s and the toxic bevavior and mass ganking on pvp severs with incresing imbalce that nobody wanted to anymore.

why playing on a sever with 20:80 balance
people left because no one want be at the short and and for the bigger facion pvp dies out because teh was suddelny no one to fight anymore because again noody wanted geting grief the whole time

As a person that did exactly that in TWW:

(Used ground mount for the main campaign and side quests)

I can assure You this is not the case:

Zones from the ground still look good (especially if You RP walk, I can recommend that for sights).

I second that.

I don’t know what constitutes good. From a photographic perspective, I enjoy them, although the last I’ve been to is 8.x alliance.

From the same - sights - perspective flying makes sense, it’s like flying a drone. I prefer having the option.

Of course when I saw the first drone videos on YouTube I was amazed and I imagine many people love to fly because such reasons, too. But eventually reconnected with ground shots as well. I guess as a bipedal species there isn’t much fantasy in running.

Not sure what you mean i used dflight all i could while doing TWW leveling.

My alts i leveled all in remix, noway going to do that on retail side when faster and better option is available.
