I wanted to level one for wotlk classic but I couldn’t even get to cat form level on it because it’s just so mind numbingly bad compared to retail now, lol. I can’t understand how I even played a druid back then.
I bought the Deluxe TBC and boosted a Druid.
As far as this whole thread. I think they should let people choose personal loot but I’d rather a token system like FF14.
I was also going to get in on the time gate side track that happened but things were moving too fast.
There was nothing to compare too .
I remember having to level all the different weapon skills because I played warrior and had access to almost every melee wep .
Even thinking about it makes me turn off my PC lmao.
Always can quote and go back to add on the topic
Hah, my rogue on classic didn’t make it past like lvl 15ish or something. I switched weapons at that point and then went “Wait… What? Why are the mobs taking so long to die? Oh, I NEED TO INCREASE MY WEAPON SKILLS” and then logged off and never touched it again. Literal garbage design.
I came to WoW from another mmorpg called knight online, WoW felt a lot better than that, lmao.
I came from Tibia… (It’s still alive btw!)
Yeah…
No match
I played that as well. I never made it past like lvl 20ish something back then. Always got too annoyed by some guy that was too much of a loudmouth and ended up killing them, some guy was like “leave, i am (insert name)” when I was trying to hunt dwarf guards and was there first. I just straight up brought out my SD runes and killed his alt on the spot, lmao. Guy was over lvl 100 on his main and made swift work of me.
edit: Wait… Tibia is getting sound, lmao.
Great for mythic guilds, everyone passes and then loot can be distributed out afterwards based on how your guild does it, but would imagine it would be based on sims etc.
As for pugging… I can’t see it possibly being worse than personal loot. Sure someone might ninja an item every now and then but is it any different from them getting personal loot when they did not need it?!
This is speaking from the PoV of someone who is in an active cutting edge guild, for people that mainly pug I can see the worry. However, lets not be fooled into the extreme over exaggerating scenario’s and examples people are describing. Based off of what some of you are saying, EVERY SINGLE guild has the GM gearing up their friends and offspec first. EVERY SINGLE pug is full of people waiting to ninja items just from you personally.
The fact is retail WoW has not had group loot for years and you have no idea how it will play out. I welcome Blizzard changing things up because if they don’t we will be stuck in the same game forever (go play classic).
You sir, Look like a raidboss.
I rate 8/10 because it’s a set.
Do you also welcome lack of choice? Why must group loot be made obligatory?
Oh, also, another thing with group loot vs personal loot.
Currently you can only get 1 item from a boss with personal loot unless others trade you items.
With group loot a person could potentially be getting all the dropped items from one boss just from rolling need, if you’re lucky. No need for anyone to trade.
So tell me again how group loot is the same as personal loot.
Are bonus rolls going to be a thing in Dragonflight?
I asked it myself aswell, nobody knows yet.
Sadly…
Sometimes it is better to give no choice and force people to try something new or they will never go out of their comfort zone. That being said I would agree choice is nice, however they gave no choice when taking away master looter so we should all not be surprised here.
Highly doubt these will ever return.
TIL pugs didn’t exist until BFA forced personal loot, apparently.
Either way I do feel like forcing group loot is bad just like forcing PL was. Choice is good, just make both available >_> with ML for guild groups.
There were huge problems in pugs up until that point.
Just disable loot.
No loot anymore.
Then M+ players can’t feel forced to raid, raiders can’t feel forced to do M+. Pvpers can’t feel forced to do any PvE.
Everybody wins!
Only if you’re a Hunter.
hahahaha no way this will go southways
