Guilds for or accepting Earthen

I think a big thing or reason why is just the “lack” of needs the Earthen have. Sure they have “rest”, “food” and drinks; but they technically do not “need it”.

And combine with their stoicism to feelings and lack of traditional dwarven flavorings (accent, fiesty / hearty nature etc) and you get a race that’s quite niched in their story.
Let alone their story being very “fresh” - making it hard to slot in these rocky folks into “anything” atm.

Luckily I have seen both guilds that accept them and the occasional smaller guild of rock and pebbles gathered. So might just be a time issue!

But with all these previous factors, and combined with the earthen being “dwarven” coded: I think many like them - but we will see few commit to their story as “main” concepts. (Seeing as dwarves are already niched, few committing to them as main RP concepts)

Cheers to the guilds / community making efforts to include them though! Us rocks can be … a bit thick headed; rock solid even! So nice to see folks take that extra effort to make us pebbles feel welcome!

Earthen as a race were akin to Mechagnomes and Highmountain Tauren: unwanted and unneeded.

Sure, maybe 5 people will happy to RP an Earthen in the same way the remaining 2 Mechagnomes players are still happy they’re around, but thats it.

Had they been an NPC only race, people would’ve been fine with them aswell, most likely

Same with me and the mechagnomes!

But I still think they should’ve been customisation options.

(same with Dark Iron and Earthen for dwarves, gilbins for goblins etc).

Its not that I dislike them, and I think its great for the fans of those races to have them added.

I’d rather saw them as customisation options with the ability to switch and choice between the racials (abilities), for example, adding in the RPG part of MMORPG again!

But alas, we now have niche races with even more niche allied races who’ll hardly ever will matter in the grand scheme of the story telling of this game.

I would say with my RP on my own rock head here. There are plenty of “mixed” concept guilds to choose from. Many have been positive towards the Earthen in the roleplay scene so luckily options are plenty. And this is a feast! So if you main/alt on your rock do present yourself as keen to venture. Many are lucky to have you!

Sadly as stated, lack of PURE rock and stone guilds seems to be due to their niche. As many have stated above. Did see some guilds wander Stormwind and Orgrimmar. But nothing that has been of a consistent show.
