This was a really excellent go at a new Kosh’harg format and I think things ultimately went better than I’d hoped (and much better than I’d feared!). Hopefully this can stand going forward as a distinct and worthwhile addition to the server’s line-up of festival events - and we have plenty of feedback and lessons learnt to make it even better next time.
I’d like to thank everyone that attended the last four nights, particularly shouting out the Warscreams, the Iron Wolf Clan and the Grimtusk Offensive who had really great representation across the period. I’d also like to thank the Pit community and Meridian Edict whose activities really helped bring the beach party on night 2 to life.
Moreover I’d like to give a shout out to everyone in Orcs of the Red Blade that helped plan and host activities and rites throughout the four days - Eliff, Zakarah/Bashul, Nrak/Drazhul, Tahi, Uron and of course Kozgugore, who kept us all organised and sane!
We LOVE to see Orc RP grow, thrive and expand through the years and the RP experiences that we make! It was an amazing first night with great storytelling, and I am sad to have been unable to attend more if it, but thrilled to hear of the success of the orcs! Love to see the tradition of Kosh’harg being played out, and attended by so many enthusiastic souls!
Orc orc orc, we love orcs. Mandatory Orc RP should be a thing imo imo
It was great fun, and my own Mag’har is now happily tagging along with the Red Blades herself
Great couple of evenings, and a shout out to the Vulpera contingent that turned up, a really nice addition too!
A very big and humble thank you to everyone who took the time to attend the festival and either helped host events or even just attended and shared in the fun! I’ll admit I’m pretty exhausted after all this, but it’s a good kind of exhaustion as we can look back on a spotless and successful event all in all.
It warrants mentioning that this was a bit of an experiment, given the new location and format. All in all though, I feel our attempt at creating a Kosh’harg that is more inspired by the heritage armor questline and is all in all a more focused experience surrounding the Om’Gora rites made for an interesting change of pace. It remains to be seen whether this is a format that will return once or twice a year, or of course at all, but we’ll still be certain to keep on spreading the orcish vibes either way, in whatever form!
Constructive feedback, both positive and negative, is of course more than welcome! As mentioned, this festival was a bit of an experiment so I’m sure some fine tuning will take place. But given our first attempt at something new, I feel we’ve found our share of things to build upon.
I will say that I’ve noticed some unnecessary vitriol surrounding either Kosh’harg, but I don’t see how anyone can be dramatic over having more roleplaying events to choose from. For those of you planning to attend any additional Kosh’harg fun in Nagrand, enjoy double the Kosh’harg merriment!
