Sorry im now to all of this. But i can rp as a “regular darkfallen knight” but be still be in holy spec for content like gearfarming etc?
You can certainly RP as one but you’d be better off doing that on a Warrior since their abilities and appearances would fit better than paladin.
Of course, there’s a differece between content (which is OOC) and RP (IC)
Heresy. My opinion aside, you’ll probably be laughed at and your char concept won’t be taken seriously by most RP’ers. The second best I’d recommend is a Blood Knight. Not as in the Blood Elf paladin order, but the Darkfallen NPC’s in Icecrown that use blood magic similar to a blood DK. You wouldn’t be a paladin IC though, but you could use blood magic in a similar fashion to some degree. Even then, it’s a stretch.
It’s even worse if you adhere to the idea that paladins are literally infused with the Light upon their induction.
People generally differentiate between OOC and IC. Game mechanics and what you do in raids is entirely inconsequential to RP.

Come to think of it, we could invite as many Undead as possible to become paladins. Would sort out a lot of issues.

Pretty much echo-ing what has already be said but yea to start with its perfectly fine to have a different In Character class than your Out of character class. I would make sure you have TRP installed though and have everything labelled correctly so people know youre not a paladin in character and instead whatever you decide your character is.
As for undead paladins my impression seems to be similiar to those who have commented above. With undead priests they can act as a conduct for light and tap into it at will. When they do this in some cases each time it almost tears their body apart or does some sort of damage. My memory is a bit fuzzy on the topic but there was a short story or something about an undead priest in legion I think.
A paladin from my understanding is almost a being of light with the energy constantly flowing through them. So a undead paladin would be in a constant state of burning sensations, his or her body being torn apart from the inside.
Although with that said Calia was raised differently from other undead and seems to be able to use the light without the same downsides.
So with the way Wow is going whether wr like it or not undead Paladins will probs come eventually and blizzard will likely create a tid bit of lore to introduce it and bring up more questions than answers lol

Rumours spread of a Darkfallen group gathering, calling themselves the Shadows of the Fallen. Finding camp outside the gates of Silvermoon word among particularly nosey locals is they plan to carry out operations in The Ghostlands in the coming days.

Ive been very unwell, im on the road to recovery though touch wood. My inactivity hasnt helped this new guild however hopefully in days ill be feeling good enough to get back to things
A few groups have reached out to me when i was in hospital so i am eager to join aspiring hubs or (fingers crossed) active hubs and collab with a few guilds to help provide active rp for those interested in this type of rp.

My friend! Nobody cares about your RP activity when your real-life problems are more important! You take this guild of the ground when you feel like you can!
The concept is interesting enough to pull it off and I would’ve loved to join you guys, if you had a Alliance-version of this guild!
My point is; take your time, get better, get well… And when you are in the right headspace, focus on this, but always remeber real life/your own health comes first and nobody would blame you for that!

Big hearts thank you, there has been a lot of interest for an alliance side to the guild so I am not totally against it just not 100% sure how we would pull it off.
We really arent a alliance friendly guild but points have been made Kaldorei DRs are still in the horde they didnt all leave. So perhaps stuff to think about there.
Spies or things like that are areas we are interested in and perhaps think about.
And then we dont even have to be friendly IC with an Alliance DR guild. If an alliance leader stepped up i would be very happy to collab lots with them and support them and we could get a lot of conflict rp going. Perhaps there is an artifact we are after and the alliance Dark Rangers want it too! or we could explore building tensions from their choice to depart the horde
So im open just need people interested enough to throw ideas at me and perhaps someone to sheppard the alliance side
However with that said if we were yo get any cool ideas off the ground that might work, there is the Stormwind issue. even if we were just an OOC ally (perhaps ic enemy) of an alliance DR guild we would have to ask members to think again befofe rping in Stormwind at this moment in time. It will likely change as lore develops but at the moment i agree it doesnt make sense. And it would paint us in a very bad light, everyone has been super supportive about how we are trying to handle our Dark Ranger stuff, it wouod be the oppposite if we were linked to alliance rangers chilling in stormwind

With the new Darkfallen features for all elves (barring Nightborne /sob), this is something I think the AD/Horde RP scene needs.
I just want Darkfallen Nightborne and Felborn(Or give them DHs!) customisations!!!1!!1one!
