I’ve mentioned it in a different topic I created a few days ago: T'uure - Stay a while and listen
But I definitely think Beledar is Naaru in nature. We also know that Naaru shift into a Void state when weakened or dying. So after the sword hit Azeroth, it could have either stabbed an old god, that is now leaking the black blood and that same black blood is now corrupting Beledar, causing it to shift between Light and Shadow/Void.
The sword itself could have just been a vessel and used to carry and spread that corruption that has infused water and life and created the black blood.
OR! The impact itself weakened a dormant Beledar that is now being corrupted by the Black Blood and fighting between remaining in the Light and pushing back against the corruption.
The Collector’s Edition art Book shows the full crystal and it is not a Naaru ship as some people imply but it definitely has a lot of Naaru features. It could be one of the shards of creation or even a shard of T’uure. A Naaru that exploded into a powerful Holy Nova when fighting Dimensius (Void Lord).
This could have sent one of it’s shards (we know of some of the T’uure shards being appropriated by races in the lore) to hit Azeroth, infusing the planet with the Light and causing the first people in Azeroth to start receiving the powers of the Light. Like the first account we have of it - Mereldar, who belonged to the Arathi empire as one of the first people to feel the power of the Light.
We also have Lore that talks about how Anduin himself experienced bright, luminous visions and a melodic chorus. He was being visited by the Naaru in these dreams/visions.
The description sounds exactly like what all the characters and players are experiencing when talking about the Radiant Song.
Magni himself also mentions how these new visions are NOT Azeroth. It’s something new, something different.
So I have the feeling that Beledar is reacting to whatever happened involving the sword (direct impact, black blood, earth shifting and weakening it) and to ask for help it started calling out in the form of the Radiant Song. Emperor Thoradin feels and sees it and sends an expedition to Hollowfall.
Other Points:
-
Mereldar is the name of the first RECORDED person to receive the powers of the Light. It’s also the name of the hub in Hollowfall!
-
T’uure was a Naaru that fought Dimensius and the Holy Priest artifact is called T’uure, Beacon of the Naaru. The plane of Shadows/Void has the plane of Light as a counterpart.
Xal’atath was the Shadow Priest’s artifact weapon <----> T’uure was the Holy Priests artifact weapon -
Shards of Light were flung across the universe and hit planets that were then infused with life and Light. It could be that Azeroth’s shard was one that was thrown when T’uure exploded into a Holy Nova.
-
T’uure’s subtitle is Beacon of the Naaru - A beacon can be used to provide Light in the darkness but a beacon can also be used as a signal/waypoint for people looking for it. Just like the Arathi did when they were sent out on their expedition.
And maybe also as a waypoint for the Naaru to find and be able to reach Azeroth in ancient times. -
The description for T’uure, the weapon, it LITERALLY mentions Torchbearers. Which, in a way, is what the whole of Hollowfall is all about! People carrying torches into the darkness, the concept of the Arathi bringing the Light to push back against the Void/Shadow, the crytal’s constant battle of Light against the Darkness and actually the people at times referring to each other as torch bearers!
