Yes, but noone will ever know!

They will cower in fear upon your greatness as tank looking for your lead, not daring to doubt you… not knowing that deep inside you is a healer!

What do you mean?

I really enjoy healing m+ lately. I think I have only had like 2 untimed keys. The more geared I’m getting the better it is too. I haven’t tried pushing further yet. May go for 3k. I see a lot of people complain about healers having to dps. But even in the older expansions I would dps as a healer. It’s boring just sat there picking your nose while everyone else has the fun.

I really enjoy playing mw monk in most cases unless party have no CC. But I usually just ignore parties that can’t mass cc.
I just play mw monk the same way I play DPS. I kick every cast I can kick, I stun every pack if multiple casts are going off. I do as much DPS as I can.
The quicker things die, the less casts go off - the easier it is to heal.
You can say that my healing on MW depends on my DPS. But I was playing the same way on rsham back in sl. DPS/cc/kick cast if I’m not currently healing.
I really don’t like playing healers that can’t control the situation. I feel powerless there. Dangerous cast is going off, and you are a priest? Well…
By the way, do people understand that if blizz make healers heal all the time without rest - it will only make healing harder. It will only make the situation worse. I probably won’t ever touch healing again if the only responsibility of the healer will be to constantly heal.

Also, one of the reason why there’s a lack of healers in lower keys — it’s really easy to jump through key lvls as healer currently. From my experience healing 20-21 key with a decent group is miles easier than almost any 15-17 key.
I think I geared to about 470 in 11-12, and jumped right to 18s.

My muscle mamma sometimes counts as both… she is Alpha Male when she forgets to shave her chest hair…

This brings me back some memories of the old days when people were so amused by us playing this game that I was constantly asked some stupid questions :dracthyr_hehe_animated: like ā€œdo women fart?ā€ and on similar level :dracthyr_lulmao:

Well I … don’t quite know how to respond to that, so that it would be fitting for this forum

haha I wish  Tanking is scary man, one wrong step and you can get flamed… But I guess thats why we wear our shields on our back.

They really asked you that? Ignorants…

Its a known fact that women fart perfume and butterflies… Cartoon Network shows real footage of that…

The last bosses in the raid. Is just bad for pugs, Why i never pug them as healer.

I have read a bit here and there what people have answered, and it seems what keeps being used as arguments is ā€œWell group is at times on 100% therefor healers can DPS in that timeā€ and how in the 10-20 range, dps wont really need a healer because they wont get one shot…

While that may be true mechanic wise, the reality is not always that simple… Take Throne of Tides… People in lower keys have that exact logic ā€œOh this is only a +14 so I wont dieā€ and then they grab the dogs, the big add and the pack, get chombed to death and then look at the healer with a surprised Pikachu face… If people didn’t have that ā€œMy main does higher keys, therefor I am unkillable in lower keys!ā€ mentality it would for sure allow non-experienced healers to also do more than just heal… But because healers can barely grab a mana break and people care more about their dps meter than mechanics, its stressful…

But of course, going full zugzug mode and expecting your healer to keep you alive + do dps while they might not be experienced enough is where the flaw is… Maybe dps/tanks should look inwards and go ā€œOkay, this is a +16, healer may not be experienced at higher, the timer is not that tight, that we have to pull the entire dungeon in 1 goā€ and just chill…

People do it ā€œcasualā€ content such as Arena Skirmish/Random BGs / normal dungeons etc… They join and start using their R1 tactics expecting their team to do the same and get angry when they can’t / don’t…

I haven’t experienced a single dungeon where people complain about lack of dps from me, but I have experienced multiple dungeons with leavers because people hold down W, not caring for affixes and then acting surprised we wiped

Never understood where the so called ā€œhealer responsabilityā€ came from. If you people get hurt because lava swimmers insult you, that’s on you.

Heck, the most insecure people in groups I’ve seen are often healers who have to open their mouth each time someone misplays just to make sure that everybody understands that they are not at fault.

I think its because of this ā€œI am good at the game, I know what I’m doingā€ mentality that people play with… People would rather run face first into the wall claiming its a door, rather than admit they made a mistake and walk through the door…

I had a tank in throne +21, he pulled the dogs + another pack, we wiped… We asked him to pull them separately, but he did the exact same pull, resulting in yet again another wipe… He then wrote ā€œOmg impossible to finish with clueless peopleā€ and left the key… Had he just said ā€œOkay, you guys clearly aren’t experienced enough to handle it, lets just chill then my badā€, we could’ve easily cleared and timed probably

We had a priest healer in our 26 everbloom who insisted on baiting the arcane orbs (not verbally, but kept moving further than any of us), but he kept dying to them. He died a total of 4 times just to not moving out of the arcane orb and then proceeded to blame the tank positioning. As a cherry on top, he used pain sup a total of 2 times in the whole run. His last words before leaving? ā€œl2pā€

I still have no idea how we timed that key.

I have experienced one run where one person complained. I wasn’t focusing much on DPS at the time because I wasn’t doing high keys but it made me realise that because I heal all the time I don’t know what other healers do and therefore don’t even know what a good healer dps output is.

Love tanks who keep pulling as if spiteful doesn’t exist.

There’s no universal answer to this since it depends on so many factors. Most people won’t really have an idea of how much dps their healer should be doing, so as long as you’re not one of the healers who seem to actively avoid hitting mobs with their damage spells, you shouldn’t worry too much.

Hahaha yeah it goes both ways of course! But for me the struggle in ā€œlow keysā€ / ā€œCasual contentā€ is not the level… Its the people that think they are flawless… I once saw a video of Pikaboo I believe, where they lost a round and someone whispered him to learn how to play… Like… Im not saying the dude is perfect, but surely he knows a tad bit more, than most xD
People just need to stop being so fragile about being called out on mistakes and just use it to improve or accept not everyone can be Giga-chads flying through 30 packs doing 360 penance healing.

Exactly, not everyone knows, or is at that part yet… I don’t mind people pointing stuff out, like ā€œHey, if you want you can also help dps, I will be fineā€, rather than ā€œOMG no dps?? loool uninstall pls, go do WQ!ā€

Generally love people who fail something, then does the exact same thing, and blames everyone else xD

It’s just ego. One can only guess where it comes from. There’s way too many players like that, just like the priest I talked about. Unfortunately they will never think twice about their own performance and assume that they played flawless. I’m afraid that priest left the group with even more ego thinking he carried us.

In a sense I envy people like that. I wish I could just have the confidence to take on the world and never think twice about my own failures. Instead I’m filled with self doubt but often end up finding myself performing better than people who are full of confidence.

I think that may be because some people start with ā€œHealer…?ā€ so quickly? When you heal and people die, there regularly seems to be the assumption that you failed somehow even if it were their own actions that got them killed. I can understand some healers may be so jaded by now that they’ll start explaining in fine detail how you messed up lol.

I never have, unless people asked what mechanic killed them, but I’ve been grateful when others would explain to this person why it was not my but their own fault if they went at me in situations like that.
