I never saw a single DH use a healing potion in those keys when I was healing. And healthstone like one time
exactly by expecting them to not fail mechanics and not die to obvious mechanics .
the problem with MDI is that they dont explain well how amazing executed those pulls are - which is impossible with 5 people using like 30 buttons it - thats why people try to imitate those pulls and fails because they dont realise that each pull was using like 4839793873897 interupts / stuns / dispels / defensives pre-planned .
Nobody plays MDI on live servers. MDI is a speedrun of âlowâ keys (with free to make characters completely min-maxed) where even 1 second faster can mean a win or a lose. On live you play slow to survive.
Some approaches require hero and cd management for all party members .
U didnât get really good players , because they are up top .
The players who usually do only 20âs remain there , the ones above 25+ are top players , the in between-ers are so and so , you donât know what youâll get .
Cd management is a must and communication also . Pugging high keys is hard and a lot of them are fails .
I noticed checking from what people died helps too, now in +20 Tott warlock was getting one shot because no one interrupt, for example. Like 4 times died from it. Do you track defensives? Two locks in that group never pressed any defensives at some bosses on Tyr too lol
Yish⌠you seem to hate locks with all your heart !
Love and hate relationship
I love them, so joined that group to heal them
Tanks and healers on higher levels definitly track CDs of their group.
The thing that allways makes me giggle is that:
Having DEFF CDs =/= Using DEFF CDs
Same with Healthstones and Potions.
But what can we expect⌠they dont increase the damage directly, right?
Well, wait till the DPS find out that a dead dps doesnt do damage and with Deff-CDs you can play more aggressively.
Last Boss in EB is a good example for rotating personal defcds and group wide defcds. The tricky party in here is to have the group fully topped while add is spawned and Boss is doing his AoE stomp. As a healer you should also rotate your Healing CDs. I didnt play Rdruid for a long time, but i can give you a Monk insight for a 26 EB Tyrannical.
- Before every Addphase i will prehot the complete group with extended enveloping mists except the tank.
On the first one i use my 1 min Healcd and use the absorb for the big hit and typically a sheiluns gift, to keep the group healthy. Keep in mind - u can use 1 min cds very frequently ( 1,3,5 and so on ).
For the 2nd one i call typically a group wide defcd like zephyr, amz or darkness - depends on comp.
3rd is 1 min cd again
4th could be cocoon, trinket absorb and my big personal cd or maybe another 2min groupcd
5th 1min cd again
6th could be a revival with healpots
And so on
Maybe you can adapt something from that and you can undersrand how to time your healcds on top of defcds by rotating them for specific dmg pattern.
I try to hit 3k but this week i manage to finish a +22 WM and around 15 runs from +21 to +24 all ended mid dungeon.
Usually the problem is the dps cause they never interrupt/stun and DH die on the Sanguine. Also the tanks use weird routes.
People need to focus more on tactics than dps, in a +24 DHT we had a hunter who think he need to stack with ppl in whatever time and he fear 1 time paladin and 1 time me causing to deplete the key.
We have a huge amount of keys so people donât care to learn the tactics or help with an extra dispell, stun, interrupt they just re que to another group.
Is this overall or from a single harder encounter when the group wiped? Overall these numbers are more than enough to push way higher, but some trash and bosses would be hard to get through if this is your peak. Regardless, you might consider refreshing your class knowledge with some recently updated guides as this game is permanently in development and you could be unaware about some tricks that completely change the game for you.
Hard but not unreasonably hard. First of all, accept that the higher you go, the lower your success rate is going to be. Itâs not you, itâs just how things are. You say âggâ, âthanks for the attemptâ, port out, and que next. In the meantime, think about what you could do better next time and how can you prepare for the worst.
Although I donât like that leaver mentality, because, for me, all keys are practice keys, still, being a realist, I understand that people make mistakes, sometimes a bit too much â and some people might need a bit more experience or skill level to do a key they are trying to do. Understand that some groups just wonât make it regardless of your contribution.
While skill is paramount, sensible group compositions can throw a couple or so key levels on top of your overall maximum. Instead of warrior or DH, try joining groups with pally or druid tank. They will help with healing checks, especially in high-movement encounters. Invite Augmentation and Retribution. Invite classes that can help with dispells that you donât have or struggle with: warlocks can even dispell magic for you if you ask them nicely and *beforehand * (!). Invite classes that donât fold by themselves: DHs, mages, warlocks, rogues, paladins. Two or three weeks ago Iâve made myself a cakewalk of 24 WM by making a group with paladin, mage, aug, and monk healer: zero troubles with curses, zero troubles with Goliath, zero troubles with anything.
And keep trying. Donât give up.
When it comes to interrupts, a shaman can carry the key basically. In most of my runs im #1 in interrupts unless its a pala tank / Dh tank that counts the âautomatic silencesâ as interrupts as well. Then im #2 on recount, but still #1 on ST interrupts.
And on top of that, cap totem and thunderstorm which are not counted.
I can give you tips that work for me if your interested.
EU just doesnât have any good resto druids outside of Vickman, NA and Chinese druids are healing +31âs somehow. I guess it is extremely hard to play in hardest content.
Always admire people who manage to pug these kinds of keys, canât imagine doing it without guildies myself
Apotheosis and divine hymn make two. You could also throw PI in there as throughput and symbol of hope is a weird one in that it brings back defensives quicker for the group so its not technically a âhealing CDâ but its a boost to group survivability.
I know you know about these buttons and the reply will be something along the lines of âIâm GCD capped cos of haste so PI isnât a throughput increaseâ - but you donât just have one healing CD.
Heck, even guardian increases healing on a single target by 60% and if it doesnât proc its about a minute CD.
