is there any sort of requirements to obtain loot from these fights? Or is it just pure RNG?
Ive done a number of these today and all i’ve received is the cards… am i missing something or have i just been unlucky today?
You are just unlucky I think. It seems like first kill of the day has increased drop just like with Halloween, or Love in the air dungeon event dungs, and every after that is just normal.

This sucks balls and ruins the entire server for a full week, even more if you forget to turn off the layering again…
Be sure to tag Dr. Boom, otherwise no loot.
yeah, im one of the lucky few to actually manage a tag on every try but around 10 tries later and i have yet to see any loot other than cards… i was genuinely beginning to think i was missing some sort of prerequisite or something to be able to get the “good” stuff…

Yes, at just before the hour - marked as a yellow portal on the map.

Yes in the same place in the city each spawn.
/edit on the hour for the map portal, not before and then you have 5 minutes or so to get there.
I’ve also died in almost every one. Sigh …

Well, had some lag now.
But that was because Horde invaded the spawn site in SW.

Are you going to fix servers? We cant do event because servers cant handle it!!!
The boss has such a little healthpool it is dead in 0.01sec. You just have to be lucky to be in that 1 raid that was able to tag him.
Meanwhile the adds do have a larger healthpool, but they are not important to hit.
Solution maybe give the boss a temporary shield (like Sha of Anger). Or increase it’s HP with a few 1000%

The only reward that is not account bound is the 36 slot bag.

Hell yeah i was there as well! Didnt crash that time, but crashed on the next event at Ogrimar where everyone mounted a protodrake and there were about twice as many people and right when the timer hit 0, the portal disappeared, then the timer reset to 5 mins, then again disappeared, no boss showed for anyone in my raid group. About 9 or 10 mins in, the server (shard) crashed.
Blizzard could have handled this better, though i must say seeing 200+ people on mounts and everyone being Gamon is fun. The first 4-5 times. Then you just get to watch 5 minutes of screenshot lag and pissed people in the chat.
Except it was. I collected everything in just a few hours, so explain how I did that without layer hopping?
They fixed it now, which sucks for anyone who didn’t farm it on Monday, but that is Blizz for you.
It was a bug. Not how the even was supposed to run.

Three consecutive kills and no loot! I have all items and cards on my main. I just need the bag on an alt and no drops!

Bug or not. That was how it was working at the time, why are you so defensive about it? A lot of people exploited it, its not my fault if you or anyone else missed out on it.
