Heritage Draenei and Troll

Hey! Blizzard solved the problem with the draenei helmet in the preview image. They cut off the horns…

I already had the true Draenei heritage armor back in WoD, plus I’m not a big fan of helmets on females and rarely wear them, so… that’s good news, I guess.

“multiple hats” are actually WoD masks that were used as a wall decorations in Garrison and Warspear.

I was checking wowexport and I wanted to see if that troll mask could come with a variant without cloth, and while I was scrolling I found two items called “Loa mask”

And that’s what I saw

So I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I guess it’s better to know it sooner than find out in the game that you were bamboozled.

The obvious choice should be to have Vooodoo mask and head cloth that doesn’t cover the nose.

But nah, let’s combine both and make the cloth move like a trunk.

I am upset becuase masks are very important part of troll visage, and the Heritage armor was a chance to finally get proper HD ritual mask, and this is what we’ve got.
The other options were not modeled with troll face in mind, they were modeled to be put on the wall. I am worried over clipping issues.

It has some nice elements, like the snake motiff. The kilt is nice, but overall it looks wathered down and doesn’t live up to it’s potential.
There are no sculls, there are no potions, no voodoo dolls, no kukri blade attached to the blade.

the smaller shoulderpads looks super uninspired and could’ve use some painted patterns at the very least.

And the back item should’ve been a proper shadow hunter grab, like we saw on various concept artworks. sculls, blades, tiki masks, serpent heads all tied together with strings.

Or at least quiver full of spears.

There are so many things that could’ve been done. And it just falls short.

That 2H sword is nice, but trolls use mostly spears, glaives and axes. I’d love to get proper troll galive.

I am also very worried over the questline, as I saw Lukou to appear, a female Loa who for years was functioning in fandom as a beautiful troll female is turned to Draenor Podling. So alien to Azeroth specie.
