Heroic+ Great idea, bad execution

Mate it’s a dungeon. And a dungeon system introduced for people who hit 80 to catch up and not be forced to do last tier in GDKPs like TBC was.
The only thing this difficulty causes is encouraging people to RMT and do NAXX/Ulduar10 GDKPs because the heroic+ “catch-up system” is impossible and because they don’t have any gear they can’t get into a soft res Naxx/Ulduar 10M.
There are 12 dungeons, We should be done with a dungeon in 30 minutes.
Not 1 hour.

sure, it would be fine, only if im the only one in the group that constantly falls behind due to mana issues its not fun for me nor the other group members. think about that

It’s a mad idea, but if they just stuck to WOTLK Classic instead of adding in their own brand of bright ideas, these issues wouldn’t arise.

The addition itself isn’t completely bad; yes it needs to be tweaked a bit more but if cared of should be fine. What maddens me is the fact that they didn’t implement a damned checkbox in the finder tool so people could opt for normal heroics or HC+ so everyone else could know that off the bat. i’ve spent almost 40+ minutes trying to find a group for a normal HC because everyone else wants HC+ with a minimum of 4k GS and i only have 3.3k on my alt. It’s almost impossible to gear an alt like this…

Some people here on the forums don’t seems to understand …that HC+ are NOT meant for 4.2k+ nor 4k+. If you are above 4k+ you need nothing from HC+ except the bag with the Emblems from Daily quests.

HC+ is for alts. And yes, they should be somehow hard, because you are farming them daily , vs raids for exemple.

This, a HP and damage buff would have been enough.

CoS’s affix is also a neat reminder to the prepatch event and is not disruptive - facts, the holy water you can loot to cleanse it also adds some nice damage if you’re melee as you can spam it every second without triggering the GCD. :slightly_smiling_face:

HoS and HoL are bearable, but we’re literally killing beefy tanks. It just takes ages to kill even trash mobs, let alone the bosses. The debuff on melee does help (assuming they and the tank survive of course, as they become frailer too) but not too much.

The rest are just nasty…

I only tried Gundrak with the sangi affix and it’s just way worse than the retail version - if enemy CC lines up with a puddle, they get a truckload of health back, effectively nullifying your efforts. (Snake Wrap comes to mind here on Sladran.) They say Novos is a complete meme, he just spams Frostbolt while sitting in the puddle and is unkillable like the lich he is. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

Also did UP yesterday. I got the affix debuff right into King’s stun. Even with my shield on, I got 100-0-ed.

Mirror images were okay in VH with 3 melees and my wanding. But when I did Nexus as a tank with full ranged but 2 mages, they rarely got swapped to and so they destroyed the party over and over.

Overall, they do need nerfs, as they are, they make the dungeons unnecessarily long and hard for the target audience (people in ilvl 200 blues). The affixes except the first 2 I mentioned could be safely removed, and it would be a right challenge for the extra gear.

Lots of folks don’t feel like it’s optional cause they added the 3 valor token bags to incentivize better geared folks to help lower geared toons get gear from it. Especially at the start of the phase where new emblems are premium currency.

That one is true. Doing daily Heroic on Titan Rune difficulty awards 5 Emblems instead of 2. And while the best item from it is the head piece it does cut the time I’d need to farm it by a lot.

By the same logic the daily HC isn’t optional either

If you want to gear up as early into the phase as you can? Sure as hell they ain’t optional for that.

Did HoL today with a 4k+ grp. Wasn’t hard - just tedious AF since it took a bit over 1hr to clear. Just hitting the mobs for 3x longer doesn’t make it engaging or fun gameplay for me. Not going there again.

It’s the same in Halls of Stone, minor damage increase and double the hitpoints for both the Ulduar 5 mans.

Just did Occulus + and the last boss fight was fun as hell to be honest. I welcome all those changes. Just gotta be a lot more aware of stuff. Very enjoyable.

Did UK on HC+ yesterday and just then it hit me how badly designed the prefixes are. Large portion of enemies can inflict stun meaning you can’t move and at the same time drop the prefix debuff. It can also significantly complicate things if you’re a healer that mostly uses spells with a cast time since you can be tagged mid casting forcing you to abandon the spell.

Just invite people with 4K GS and up, preferably people with good AoE. Our HC+ Stratholme took like 20 min.

Possible the easiest hc+ cant even…

Have to use a personal CD then, wont you? The only affix i deem annoying atm is the web thing in AN/Ahn kahet. And only in that the range is apparently almost unlimited and the current Nr. 1 Threat can be hit. These two things are by no means overpowered, they are just annoying, so i dont care if they get changed or not.

As a Paladin you should know that the personal cooldowns we have for healing are limited to Lay on Hands and it’s a sizeable 10 minute Cooldown at best, right? True with a tank that nears perfect avoidance (although I’m yet to reach such level myself ar 3.9gs) Holy shock should suffice but when they take constant damage? Not good. And if they suffer from Stun + Frostbite? Yeah wiped handful of times from that combo.

I wasnt referring to you in particular but to all classes. When i get rooted for instance, in UP, plus debuff it´s instant IBF on the DK, or DP on pala or whatever.

But i agree, that one can be unlucky and die due to that combo.
It´s not the healers job to do everything in a group^^
